I did a look last week at exactly how many "Podcasts" were out there and the number will shock you. As of this year there are more than 500,000 different types of podcasts and the nation is well past what some call "peak audio". You tube is worse. Somewhere about 23 million different channels. That means there are about 20 people in America per channel. There are a bunch of them for sure.

lol, everyone wants to be a internet star now days.

In some ways you're right. It used to be everyone wanted to get to LA and Hollywood and be on TV or on the Big Screen, or be in rock bands traveling the country. I think the younger generation sees those goals as almost unobtainable and a pursuit they don't have the means to follow. The internet has opened up a path that is much easier for people to go for, where they get to be the boss and call the shots.

Kids use to grow up wanting to be a professional athlete, fireman or a police officer. Now they want to be internet stars on you tube.

Check out CJ's most recent one. He references how he and Will Barton used to kill the starters in practice earlier in their careers but still weren't playing. Barton apparently was seriously thinking about leaving Portland for Russia after his initial deal just because he mentally could not handle being so far down in the rotation.

You wonder if this is why Neil et al are forcefeeding Collins/Simons minutes now.

Im extremely biased but Id take pre-injury Wes, over CJ still.

Understandable on the defensive end. Wes brought it, but he was incapable of creating his own shot. He had to wait for others to get him the ball. That said, we had LA in the post demanding double teams, and having Wes just sit out there waiting to shoot that 3 definite helped spread the court.

Wes also had learned to play in the post and take advantage of mismatches, was big enough to guard 1-3. Definitely not as gifted at creating his own shot and it's not very close but was a good 3 point shooter. He also didn't stop the flow of the offense, I actually like CJ's game but you can tell once he gets to a few dribbles he's gonna pull up and find a way to throw the ball towards the basket if Wes didn't have anything he just moved the ball.

I'll give you that, but I will say that Wes had nowhere near the ability to single handedly take over a game the way CJ does. Wes was a threat on both ends, can't argue that. People sometimes bitch about CJ dribbling too much, but Dame doesn't. He knows he needs help out there and CJ on more than enough occasions has pulled some games out for us when needed.

We don't win Game 7 with Wes instead of CJ, just sayin.

They win it in 5-6?
Game three CJ put up 41 points and the Blazers win it in triple OT on CJ McCollum's offense in the final OT.
He also was the leading scorer in the game two win on their court in addition to being the leading scorer in game 7.
Without CJ McCollum the Blazers don't get out of the second round.

Murray Averaged, 23.6ppg and 6 assists per game and pretty much did what he wanted in that series, Wes would've done a much better job of slowing him up.

Mo and Aminu were taking turns getting blasted by Milsap, and once in a while on Murray, but they played so bad in that series...
I thought the adjustment was to put Turner and Hood on Milsap? Cannot remember Aminu or Harkless being able to stand on him for more than a minute or two and they had to pull them off?

They tried like half the roster, Hood, Turner, Zach, Moe, Aminu. I dont want to sound like Im hatin on CJ, I just like Wes better overall. Of course offensively he’s not the scorer CJ is.

Id take CJ's 26.4 /6rebs/3 ast over Wes.
This game is about scoring. CJ played a stellar series. You drop Murry to 20 pts a game maybe 18 but you lose 15 playing Wes.

I think it's hard to tell since the Dame / CJ pairing, the offense basically consists of getting them the ball and watch them work. Guys like Wes you can't do that with, you'd have to run an actual offense, maybe you get more guys scoring, Wes was a good shooter, the problem offensively is CJ does give you the 2nd go to scorer that Wes really isn't, but still if I was building a roster for a season, I'm taking Wes before his injury over CJ today.

Zach Lowe just talked about us on his podcast with Kevin Arnovitz. Puts us at risk of missing the playoffs. 40 to 42 wins.
