any interest in Love. Gotta think Cle is gonna change things up. There is the obligatory CP for Irving. But if Love is on the table would a package of a resigned Crabbe and Plumlee get it done?

Crabbe is a great fit for them because he can shoot from the outside play some D and is versitle to play 2/3 for small ball. Plumlee may be the best 5 to put next to LBJ from a passing standpoint. Plumlee can get the ball inside to LBJ and help facilitate the offense for them. Plumlee's lack of shooting may hurt him but he is better on the offensive end then Thompson. This also makes Clev younger in case Bron decides to leave.

Portland could use a third option and this would put Love in a better spot for his skills. He would play closer to the basket but still can play on the perimeter. I'm not sure as to the cap situation but if Whiteside could still be signed then he could help make up for Love's defensive liabilities. Can also look at a guy like mahinmi from Indiana who may be a little cheaper.

Love on the block surrounded by shooters sounds better then dumping the ball inside to a Whiteside or Howard. Portland needs someone inside to draw the defense/double team to create rotation problems.

Clevelands 2018 1st round pick for Love.
Git er done Neil.

Davis/Plumlee/Aminu/CLEs future pick might be enough

Love has a positive DBPM over his career. And if we used him right he could become an all star PF again. You have to take the chance if the price is right.

I would certainly bring him in if all of the top free agents fall through.

When exactly can we trade a resigned Crabbe? It's not July, that much I know unless it is a sign in trade with just him.

I can see Cleveland getting rid of Love for sure. Frye is a cheaper option. But what is their biggest need? Only someone who can help win them a championship would be wanted. Are they really going to get someone like that for Love? Or is cap space the smarter move in the long run since LBJ has a record of pulling in vets to play with him. Love will be making 21 mil next year, then 22, 24, and 25.

If we traded for him I would want to keep Aminu to cover quicker PF's. So Vonleh would be expendable. That is about all I would give up for Love. (other than Leonard who is a free agent) Vonleh would make less than 3 mil so Cleveland would net 19 million towards lowering their total salary.

There's not enough blech in the word blech to accurately convey just how much blech is required to blech this idea.

Love will not be walking through that door:
  1. Cleveland would look stupid for trading Love for what is really his current value, because it is SO much less than what they used to get him.
  2. Whatever we would be willing to give up, Boston would probably be willing to give up more.

I thought of Boston, but don't they like Olynyk? Seems like an expensive duplication

Aminu + Plums for Love. Go hard after Mahinmi.

Dame/CJ/Hark/Love/Mahinmi with AC, Ed, Meyers, Noah off the bench.

How many games does that healthy team win?

Boston = Portland + loads of draft picks.

They have a lot of VERY good players, but are looking for STARS - Love qualifies. They have interest.

By whom? When?

If anything, the guy is undervalued and underrated now.

The pundits when they said he was the best PF in the league. The Cavs when they traded for him. People now that want him.

I wonder if Clevelands gonna make a deal with Boston if we could deal anything to make it a 3way and poach Olynyk and/or Bradley.

Leonard will not be 10m...there is way to much money out there and someone will do something stupid.

Except Boston is looking for their star. We have ours. Huge difference.

I somehow didn't read the second line of your post. D'Oh! Carry on. Ignore me.

I've heard 20 players will get near max money and another 40 will get more then $10M. There's not that much money out there
