Looking to buy an 07-08 Benz CLS550

So i happened to stumble across this beauty

And was wondering if anyone had any expiriences with this Model of Benz in the past. Let me know.

I personally thing the body style on them is a bit ugly.

The S-class is much better. My boss has an 08 or an 09 s550...they are nice cars but unless you have the spare cash to pay for the maintenance or any of the body work, I'd kind of steer away. Seriously, its like $1100 for brakes and other minor things are very expensive. You get a scratch on it or something, its super expensive...new bumper? Few thousand bucks.

They drive really nice though.

You'll pay what...45-50k for it maybe on the low end....I think you're looking more 55k-65k...maybe more than that? I dunno, I'd rather get the new E-class at that price point personally.

yeah, one of my buddies got a CL550 for surprisingly really cheap. If you can do that, go for it. the values must just plummett i guess or people couldn't afford the payments.

Seriously, try to get the CL550 coupe if you can. The CLS is a pretty ugly car, I think its the ugliest car Mercedes makes personally (other than the R-class minivan). I think even the C-class is nicer looking than the CLS.

I think it looks like a Korean car. just the lines they use are very asian in design, not German. I like the classic harder lines of the mercedes.

No experience from me. But, for such a big car and the price range - you can also look at a Maserati Quattroporte or something of that nature.

Good luck either way. If this is what floats your boat - go for it. Who cares what other people think about the look.

It's actually not a "slight issue". My old neighbor had an apron that was too steep. The previous neighbors had a Land Rover with plenty of clearance. Jason had a Jetta. When he bought the place he pulled in his garage and tore the crap out of the bottom of his car.
