I've ignored all things LMA this year so I honestly have no clue how well (or poorly) he's doing. All I know is the Spurs seem to be legit contenders with a scorching good record and happened to get blown out by a great GSW team in a regular season game on the road. We all know what the regular season means to Pop. So....maybe I should look up LMA's numbers? Because he seems to be in a pretty great situation.

Lamarcus reminds me of the Paul Simon song this season....Slip sliding away....he was absolutely an embarrassment on the court last night

He's playing okay. Nothing great.

15.6 ppg, 8.7 rebounds, 19 PER

He's shooting 48% and attempting about 3 less shots per game, as well.

Good third banana numbers, about what he shoulda averaged behind Healthy Roy and Healthy Oden.

Same as with us. Pads his stats by excelling against bad teams. Against good teams, performs only in the first half before the pressure starts.
 
You people are funny. The Spurs have been the best team in the league, a league that contains Golden State, since December. They have an all-time great point differential. And Aldridge has been playing 30 mpg for that team. If only we had such shitty players holding us back.

So he had a bad game against Golden State, when playing without Tim Duncan. Pop has a history of resting key players and not really trying that hard against teams he might have to face in the playoffs. If anything Aldridge has fit in with San Antonio far better than could have been expected, and far sooner. The guy who they should be worried about is Tony Parker.

His numbers are trending upward since a very rocky start to the season, aren't they? And 48% for him is rather exceptional.

To me it was a perfect example of a max guy shrinking under the big lights...it's not just a so so game from him...he was horrible with the whole world watching. Duncan was getting rested. I pick the Spurs to win it all, but not because of Aldridge as much as David West.

Huh, shows what I know. I thought he was mid to low-40%. I didn't realize his inside game was reliable enough to bring up those low mid-range percentages, but I never looked it up.

Cheap, easy way for Quick to get a little validation and love is to go easy on the team's current alpha....
