I think this is a lot bigger than people realize.

With Hibbert and Aldridge the Blazers have one of the best PF/C duo in the League and a definite playoff team.

Without this duo the Blazers are starting over from scratch and in the early stages of a complete rebuild.

By the All-Star break, with this roster, the Blazers will be a doormat with Aldridge asking for a trade. With Hibbert, we'd be in re-tooling mode looking forward to the playoffs.

Maybe luck will be on our side this time around? Oh, how many more serious injuries does Paul Allen need to get the hint that the medical staff needs a complete rebuild as well?

Congratulations on getting back from your three-month vacation under a giant rock. Please reply to any of the dozens of "woe is me, we didn't land Hibbert" threads.

No, I think most of us realize what we have in store this year, not sure about the LMA scenario - we will see how it goes

Not like the Blazers had a chance in hell of making the playoffs anyway. Besides, if they did, what would it matter? 6th seed or lower, cannon fodder for the "chosen" teams. No thanks.

I dont' get the whole "LMA will want out this year". I think even if we horribly suck and are the worst team in the league LA will stick it out and see what we do in the off season. If we dont' make any major moves or we still suck next year he will ask out around all star break.

LMA is already in PDX and is organizing runs at the practice facility in Tualatin, yet he's going to demand a trade at the deadline this year?

It's LMA's team now. Why would he want to be traded somewhere else where he is the 2nd or 3rd option? If that's what he wants, may as well trade him right now.

Bingo.
