I'm assuming Stotts will get an extension, but in the small chance he doesn't id love to see what Walton could do with this group.

Stotts needs to teach the team how to be selfless and pass for the open three. /sYeah coaching doesn't matter.
The Warriors aren't the best team because of Steph Curry. They are the best team because they're selfless, they move the ball, and they play defense. That's coaching. Teams will be lining up for Walton this summer.

A lot like how many of Nate's assistants got head coaching jobs because Roy made everyone around him look so good. Whoever gets Walton will be disappointed when they get yet another mediocre young coach.
Purple and piss doesn't wash out.
Yeah and to think it didn't even take him 82 games to have his players play like this. Too bad Steve Kerr is gonna come back and mess it all up.Yeah coaching doesn't matter.

You can think that, but I hope he has them in the lottery for 4 years!I personally think Luke is going to be a very good coach for the lakers. Always had a very high BBIQ. Well liked and knows the game. Is learning from another very good coach. He deserves a shot.
To me the Warriors are what they are because of Steve Kerr, I don't give Walton that much credit for a returning championship squads success. I think he maintained the system in place and Kerr was still behind the scenes. He may very well be a great coach...or the next Kaleb Canales
Good point...now West just needs to man up and grap a clipboard! Then why were they improving even under Mark Jackson. The constant factor is Jerry West. A few years ago, the owner hired 2 or 3 consultants, including West. That think tank is the cause of the Warriors success, not the coaches the consultants have hired. Remember when West threatened to quit if they traded for Love, which seemed like a good move to everyone in the league except West?
One year out of four, compared to nine years out of ten.Would you say that about Ed Davis?
Throw it down big guy!Laker fans idolize the late Dr. Buss, but he sucked as much as his twin, Donald Sterling. All success during his reign came from Jerry West's acquisitions. Phil Jackson's overbearing gravelly voice drove out West. The Lakers will not succeed until they either return West, or change owners to a smarter dynasty family...instead of a powerful GM, which is how all other teams are run.
On another matter...every team is missing out on the most ignored coaching talent out there, Bill Walton.
But if Luke Walton isn't one of the top 3 coaches in the NBA then how can you explain the nickname "The Splash Brothers"?Then why were they improving even under Mark Jackson. Scott and Bryant are already doing that. You can think that, but I hope he has them in the lottery for 4 years!
I've got $20 saying that the Kobe retires, the Lakers fire Scott, and hire Walton for a fat salary. People will bump this thread and be like "would you still want him for this much". Then for the next 3+ seasons the Lakers are a fringe playoff team and if they make it they get knocked out because he can't make adjustments.Purple and piss doesn't wash out.
Nah, I think Kobe really is going to retire after this season.Scott and Bryant are already doing that.
Man I didn't even think this deep. Leave it to jlprk to be the one to go there. This is spot on though...Laker fans idolize the late Dr. Buss, but he sucked as much as his twin, Donald Sterling.
