Wouldn't it be more impressive to not include the 10-2 stat and just say "the Blazers are 9-0 in their last 9 games decided by 6 or less"

Jason Quick ‏@jwquick Blazers F LaMarcus Aldridge was involved in a minor-fender bender on his way to the Orlando game on Monday. He is fine and will start

Jason Quick ‏@jwquick For Aldridge, it is 2nd fender bender on his way to the game in last year. On Feb. 4, 2012 he was in accident then had 29-9-5 vs. Denver

Tonight, LaMarcus got 27-10-5.

Maybe he should get in a minor fender-bender before every game.

I know I'm late with this. I'm Mr. midnight DVR but can someone please tell me WHY THE FUCK DON'T WE FOUL INTENTIONALLY WHEN WE'RE UP THREE WITH 15 SECONDS LEFT IN REGULATION???

Why even give Orlando a chance to shoot a 3 and tie the game? Make them make free throws and get the ball back. You would think that having a one point lead and getting sent to the line is better odds than giving a team a chance to send the game to overtime.

Am I metta crazy? Why do coaches resist this strategy so often?

How was the bachelor tonight? :MARIS61:

And it's due to the possibility of a four point play. Miss second free throw and kick out to JJ reddick and instead of overtime, you lose.

Conventional wisdom is that even if you try this strategy, you don't foul unless there's less than about 5 seconds or so. IIRC, there were about 10 seconds left when Nelson shot the 3, so you wouldn't foul anyway. Now, if Lillard had hit the 3 and there were somehow 2-3 seconds left for them to inbound, then yeah.

I wanna say I'm a fan of the Orlando magic. They had some tough luck, but the boys are really trying hard. It sucks that their record is what it is. I bet they had many winnable games this season. Hopefully they get a go to guy in this summers draft. Their fans truly need some positives next season. They got burned by two centers in the history of their franchise. They need something positive in the near future.

Don't get me wrong though. I wanted to beat them handedly. I just respect their effort. They aren't giving up like a team that just lost their franchise center.
