I'm blaming i as one of those flukey games, you are just not destined to win. Orlando hit way too many bs shots for me to not believe otherwise.

Thanks schedule makers, instead of a cupcake to feast on next game, we're back on the road in Utah of all places, fuck, the schedule is getting tougher.

No doubt... we may be at home, but damn, there are no gimmes on this homestand except maybe the Clips but that's on a back to back after playing Utah.

Are people really blaming this one on the refs? REALLY?

Not blaming the refs but there was some questionable stuff they did. However it was totally our fault the game was even that close at the end.

I had a bad feeling about this game.

From the git-go.

And I didn't like the calls the refs made in the first few minutes against Greg. Sheesh, let the guy play will you?

The bad feeling got worse during a timeout when Blaze was running around with his mind reading device, pointing it people and the big screen was showing what they were thinking about. He pointed at a ref and the big screen showed the Blazer dancers strutting their stuff, and he didn't even crack a smile.

At the end the I didn't like the calls either. After Brandon threw up his Hail Mary from the corner there was 4.3 seconds left on the clock. The refs called timeout and put .7 back on the clock for Orlando. Just enough time for them to beat us with. After Turkoglu threw down his three pointer there was .3 left. They took that away from us and called the game over.

Having said all that, the fact is we were up by 8 with about two minutes left and should have won. That we were even in a situation to maybe lose the game by a refs call, was our own doing. That we burned 24 seconds at the end and couldn't get a decent shot up was our own doing.

I didn't like the refs tonight.

And I didn't like the way we played.

Hopefully we learned something.

everyone is talking about the last 2 minutes and what went wrong. but i dont think its been mentioned that the reason orlando kept raining threes on us was nate had em in a zone for way too many possessions. sure we kept dwight in check but.... if we would have stayed home on the shooters, we got enough fouls to use between joel, greg and channing to just let dwight have his touches and let him earn it at the line rather than constantly let a team thats making more than half of their threes shoot all day. sure a lot of those shots were contested but if we would have stayed home on the shooters they wouldnt have got most of those shots.

What is Antonio Harvey talking about when he says that Rudy doesn't know how to close out games? He single-handedly won us that Miami road game on ESPN, and he's always on the court at the end of games... stupid.

In the end, the coach is ALWAYS to blame.

I still haven't seen one person post one instance where everyone was talking about how Nate made some genius move....not just to win a game but anything really. 108-100 should equal a win, with any NBA team.

The last play it looked like everyone else was afraid to take the shot and Roy had to force one up. When he's being doubled someone else has to step up and take the shot. Oh, well, we were bound to lose a close one sooner or later. That was a lucky bank shot though but that happens.

Blazers coach Nate McMillan lamented his team's execution down the stretch, saying he anticipated that Roy would be doubled and created plays for a Blazers play to cut toward the middle of the floor. But that didn't happen, leaving Roy -- who called the Blazers' late-game execution "confused" -- no option but to attempt a poor shot.

Ummm, Roy, when he was given the ball back at that point . . . HAD to take the shot because the 24 second clock was going to run out . . . and it did, otherwise, the LMA follow-up would've counted. Point is, he had no choice but to chuck that shot from the corner.

Interesting the game recaps from Freeman and especially Quick about how it was Travis who messed up on that last offensive play, and how our offense got confused and Travis should have cut to the middle for the ball.

But we read their defense wrong, and Orlando had different players coming at Roy down the stretch. There's just so many of those little things that we don't see as fans. Oh well.

Frankly, we just got outsmarted down the stretch and the Magic outcoached us.

A game like this you just forget about and move on. They played hard, did a lot of good things, should have won, but in the end it was just a case of bad luck.

Miracles tend to even out. Brandon's 3 bomb against Houston was ours, this time it was someone else's turn to get one on us.

At first, I thought this was the case, but man, they had many more miracle shots than that one tonight.

How can you say that as a fan of a team that lives and dies by the 3 also? Orlando was beating us at our own game tonight behind the arc - so I don't know that I wanna say they deserve to win, but they did anyways.

Hours later and I still feel horrible. We got a taste of our own medicine. Sacramento, Toronto, Houston, and San Antonio all lost close games to us. I suppose it's time we lost one. Plus, we shot 14 of 26 threes in a game this season. I think it was in Sacramento. So like I said.. we got a taste of our own medicine. And the Lakers got KILLED by the Kings team that both the Blazers and Nuggets whupped IN Sacramento. Ugh. Whatever. What are the excuses for Oden tonight? Were his per48 stats amazing?

Agree 100%
Yes, Roy struggled at the line and we didnt execute the last 2 times down the floor, but the refs were garbage, no doubt about it.

This win is PURE LUCK for Orlando. I'm sorry but when you hit 14 3's at over 50%, when a bunch of them were contested or off balance, I call Lucky Charms.
Since when does Jameer Nelson hit 25 ft'ers with hands in his face, and don't even get me started on Lewis' 30 ft heave off the jump ball...so much bullshit went against us, it was amazing we still should have won.

Um, sore loser much? You obviously dont watch Magic Basketball if you think all those 3's were luck. The 3 tree ball is pretty much what we do, just ask any Raptors fans bra... I'll give you the Hedo one, that was luck, but not everything else. Plus you guys did that same shit to Houston, and Memphis did it to us earlier too. It happens... And lol @ the Jameer comment. He was J'n all over Baron Davis last night too man and has been doin it all year. Just get over it.... The game was tight throughout and we just made the shots when it mattered. Teach BRoy how too pass out of a double-team and maybe you guys win this one. ;)

Wtf, we we're up one going into the 4th bro.... I coulld say the same thing about all of Roy and Aldridge shots, and the Fernandez pass, but ill give props where props are due. Plain & simple, we just maid more shots than you. You guys wanted to play zone to contain Dwight so we beat you from the perimeter. It's basically pick your poisin.

At first, I thought this was the case, but man, they had many more miracle shots than that one tonight.

Once again, give it a break. This is the NBA and we're talking about two top 5 teams. Not every shot the opponent makes is just 'luck'(albeit the Hedo GW was). But it's Crunch time, Lunch time baby. We did the same shit to Houston too. We've been clutch this year just like ya'll but somethin had to give....

Amazing. Just realized- Orlando has won 17 of their last 20 games. Props to them. And to us. We were one of the three losses.

Another error: Rudy had a wide-open mid-range jumper, but he was clearly under instructions to move the ball and keep running out the clock. In hindsight I am sure Rudy would have taken that shot. With a little more experience, he won't make a mistake like that.

I have not been so sick over a Blazers game since June 2000 in Los Angeles.

Six points off turnovers in 29 seconds? How does this happen?

It's not a matter of blame. Blake lost the ball; how often does that happen? Who could have foreseen? And none of this would have mattered had the Magic not been running essentially a layup line the first quarter, or had Roy not missed six free throws. It's a team game. No scapegoats, just stunned.

I awakened at least 10 times last night with flashbacks of the final seconds. I feel suicidal, homicidal, sleep deprived, non functional and in shock. And the only one to comfort me is my cat - Orlando.

It's hard to say "dear sweet Orlando" to my cat right now. (even though he is)
