I'm on episode 4, holy shit this is fucked up.

Anyone else watching this? The kid's lawyer and investigator are such pieces of shit.

Soon. Started The Killing. Pretty good. Not as good as Luther or Broadchurch.

I might start Making and watch it before going back.

Have you listened to the serial podcast @SlyPokerDog? Season 1 was pretty fucked up too

I'm finishing up Mr. Robot. Fuck that's a awesome show.

I watched the first 5 minutes in the airport before leaving Vegas. Going to binge this when I get home I think.

I didn't know that Minnesota had hillbillies until I watched this.

It is Wisconsin. Oh and assuming you finished, what did you think of the blue ribbon scene. So bizarre, right?

Finished it last night.

The blue ribbon scene was weird.

I feel so sorry for that kid.

Also there was something about the victim's brother that was just off.

Yeah, I felt like the brother seemed to be enjoying the limelight too much. Like, um, your sister got murdered. Why do you seem to want to be in front of the cameras so much and so blindly believing the police? And, I like how he says at one point, just play the confession in the VCR and you know what happened. Q: Have you seen the confession? A: No, not yet.

It was interesting how the sister in that video said she loved her mother and sisters but didn't mention him at all.

I kind of liked Serial a little bit more. Seemed more objective. But the MAM courtroom drama was really good and so were all the twists.

Regarding Serial: At first I was like, this whole motive doesn't make sense. No 18 year old kid is going to kill his girlfriend for dumping him and hooking up with another guy. Then I thought about all the senseless shootings we have seen through the years, and decided, meh, who needs a motive any more? I thought Jay seemed shady, but then after hearing her recounting of talking to him I didn't know what to believe. I really doubt the timeline of when she was killed, but I can't say that Adnan's innocent. Imagine if he gets a new trial, and then cops a plea...

Going to give this series a pass. Honestly, so many series you see like this are like Rashomon. There's your story and then there's their version. And then there's the truth. It works out to be some sort of ultra justice system core-porn. I subscribe to David Fincher's theory that most people are deep down basically voyeurs or perverts.

Just finished it! DAMN! Can't believe that was real! That something like that could actually happen.
