OT Manafort to plead guilty today;

Some dipshit* posted a week or two ago that PapaG's 14 day sentence cost the taxpayers $2M/day. I guess now the taxpayers are making several million dollars for every day PapaG sits in jail.

I wonder if he realizes him posting about it actually makes it a bigger news story than it would be if he said nothing at all?

Especially since what he says is demonstrably false.

Hunting witches is against the law.

Manafort pleads guilty to everything he was charged with.

No, he did not.

All but 2 charges were dropped in exchange for control over the content of his future testimony.

You're gonna make me get technical, eh. He admitted guilt to everything he was charged with. Oh, yes he did. I've seen the written document with his signature as displayed on the TV news.

Were the charges dropped or set aside. My understanding is that Mueller could reinstate the charges should Manafort not live up to Mueller's expectations.

Manafort even admitted guilt in the ten charges that were declared a mistrial.

You honestly expect Ted Baxter to respond to your post?

You know, that character was based largely on one of my all time favorite movie stars, William Powell. I even liked him in what I think may have been his last role as the doctor in one of my all time favorite movies, Mr. Roberts starring Henry Fonda, James Cagney, William Powell, Jack Lemmon, Betsy Palmer, Ward Bond, Nick Adams, Harry Carey Jr., Patrick Wayne and Martin Milner. Comedy and drama par excellence.

Edit: Fixed minor spelling error.

Ha, Mr Roberts is one of my favorite Jack Lemmon movies. Granted, it's not like I know a ton of his movies.

I never cared for Jack Lemmon except in Some Like it Hot and Mr. Roberts and I only liked Some Like it Hot when I was a teenager but not now.

I really liked Henry Fonda in his early years but not so much later on.

Always liked William Powell especially as the private detective in the Thin Man series.

Never cared for James Cagney except in Mr. Roberts.

All these guys were near perfect in Mr. Roberts.

When I was a small child I loved monster movies and I really wanted to see The Blob with Steve Mcqueen. My father used to take me and my brother to a triple feature of monster movies every Friday night at the Avalon theater while he would put on a very expensive suit and go to the live theater. So, one Friday night he says "Lanny, would you like to go see the live stage play of Mr. Roberts with me or go see the Blob?" I responded "The Blob, daddy, the Blob". OMG, he laughed and laughed. He's gone now but I sure wish I could have been just a little older so I could have enjoyed that stage play with him. It's still a fond memory.
