Maybe Neil is trying to get Memphis to be a facilitator in the Davis deal, and send Gasol to New Orleans so the Blazers don't have to send as much

So - you aren't saying the world is flat - you are just saying it isn't round.
Life is full of possibilities, but treating all possible outcomes as equally likely is silly. You know perfectly well that the odds are very high that the Grizz will set a high price for Gasol, but you are ripping other posters for saying it. How is that constructive? What exactly do you think you are adding to the debate? Seriously, what is your end game here?
Too much money.$24,000,000+ for a backup center. Not a needle mover Neil.
Ripping? It's called posting an opinion. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean i am "ripping" anyone uf so then by your posts wouldn't that be you ripping me?
By the way the earth is round Kyrie.

Gasol actually has an opt out this summer. I'd have to imagine he wouldn't give up $25.6 million next year but sometimes at that age players look for one last long term contract with more years even if it is less per year. When he becomes a FA in the summer of 2020, what are his options?
1. Take a big pay cut and stay in Portland as a back-up.
2. We grossly over-pay to keep him as a back-up.
3. He takes a good offer from a team that needs a starting center and/or goes ring chasing.
If he was still in his prime, the PG13 comparison would make sense. Instead, he is at an age where big men tend to go south quickly.

Why would New Orleans want a 34 year old center? Why do the Blazers get all the good stuff while the Grizzlies get shit on?
No you're completely wrong because the Pelicans would still be terrible. With Conley and Gasol the Grizzlies are 20-31. Going to a new team isn't going to make the Pelicans relevant when they are pretty much giving up all their good players in this trade anyway. Besides, Gasol can leave at the exact same time Anthony Davis can so they'd be in the same boat of losing him for nothing. Memphis could get better for both trading them individually anyway and not having to take on shit like Leonard, Hill, and Turner.I know its a wild trade and it can be adjusted to make it more fair. New Orleans would want to take Gasol to stay relevant after trading Davis.
The Blazers always get shit on. Some one elses turn.
Seriously though, the Grizzlies want to get rid of Conley and are open to trading Gasol, they want to go young. With Conley and Gasol New Orleans doesn't have to start over. Memphis gets youth and picks. Win/win.

I think Drummond is a better fit for them than Gasol.
Calm down, it's not happening!Ok. Jeez. I'm just trying to come up with a reason for Gasol and Neil being mentioned in the same sentence besides being traded here. I don't want him here. That means Nurk is most likely gone. No thank you.
Don't see Pels getting or wanting either, but I'm just going to put this out there...No you're completely wrong because the Pelicans would still be terrible.
