<{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Lets get some perspective here.
Everyone agrees he is talented. Everyone agrees he's a terrible defender (which isn't really a death knell if you're a point guard, and can also be improved). And (hopefully) everyone agrees that point guard is the toughest NBA position to learn, with some guys taking 4-5 years to really get it down. Some players pick it up quicker, but I think we can all agree that Marcus didn't show a whole lot maturity over his college career. I mean, he couldn't even get in shape for the combine measurements. So, I think we can all agree he, at least entering the NBA, had a lot of growing to do as a person.
Now, for some people that growth never happens. But let's not forget the kid is 22. It's not like a perennial bad attitude is a forgone conclusion yet. Honestly, it seems more like his issues are tied to confidence than pride (granted, in the NBA, that can be just as bad: see Wright, Antoine).
All I'm saying is, Marcus could certainly mope himself out of the league, but I also wouldn't be surprised if he managed to turn his career around on another team. It's a little early to pass final judgment.</div>
He's still got Josh on the same team as him. That might help his confidence issues, knowing you have a guy on the team who you've known for at least 5 years.
