<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (ak30 @ Jul 22 2008, 01:16 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Dooling is as much a PG as Carter is. He averaged 1 assist last year. How is he a PG? This team needs Kyle Lowry in the worst way possible. Trade Sean or Boone for Lowry and then I'll be happy.
You can sugercoat it all you want. You can trash Marcus all you want. As it stands right now the Nets don't have a legitimate PG on their roster. Period.</div>
Carter is a pretty good playmaker.
Dooling is a pretty good PG. Van Gundy simply put the ball in Turkoglu's hands, and told Dooling to be a scorer. So Dooling came in, and was an extremely affective scorer who could be counted on to come in and score some quick points off the bench.
And it's not like Marcus was that great of a point guard, either. I don't know how Harris isn't a legitimate point guard. Just because he isn't Jason Kidd, doesn't mean he's not that good.
