Mardi Gras

Its coming like in 2 weeks. planning to party it up? anyone ever go to Mardi Gras? I went in 2002, it was the best time ever. drank myself silly.

nice! i almost got on a float but it was a last minute trip and couldn't coordinate with the right people in time....will probably never materlize again, my hookup for that died last year. would have gotten into a krewe ball too...but i was more into hand grenades and hurricanes.

was it part of a marching band?

yeah...a Drum and Bugle Corps, to be precise. They don't let freshman off the Academy grounds except on Saturday. If you joined the D&B, you could go to the away football games, Mardi Gras, Disney World. I wasn't able to try out for the golf team, and I had played a trumpet in 5th grade, so I tried out.

nice. noticed a lot of military people there....it was after 9/11 so maybe that had to do wiff it.
