He just said he won't be back with the Nets next season.

He said since he lives out in LA it makes every game he does an away game. He just wants to be home more while his kids are still young. Unless the Knicks come calling, the only games he will be doing is going to be on abc.

I pray to god. (Let the "You think he'll be better than Frank???" bashing begin.)

Mama, there goes that man.

Ah well. I'll never forget Mark or his classic sayings.

That sucks. I wanna see less of Marv Albert instead.

Take that back.

I should de-mod you.

I bet he becomes either GM or some other kind of player personnel title under Donnie Walsh with the Knicks. Would make sense since he played for the Knicks and for Walsh. He also said he wanted to spend more time with his family and that is hard to do as coach.

This sucks. Welcome back Kelly Tripucka?

Ian and Mark were the best announcing team I've ever heard. In his memory I think everytime one of our players dunks on someone they should take the time to stop, look at the player, and scream, "GET IN MY POSTER!"

Wait a minute.. does this mean we will have to listen to Jim Spanarkel more?? someone kill me..

I'd love that, but realistically I'd also love to have Tim Capstraw get the call up to the "majors".

*giggles*

I'm gonna miss him but he got worse as the years went on.

I want to get a true Net guy in there, I want Marv gone too.

I'm not a big Marv fan either. Ian >> Marv

I'm definitely with you on that. While it was good to get the premier "NBA" announcer on board, it was a slight against Ian to bring in Marv when Ian toiled as the Nets regular announcer during the "lean" years. If Marv wanted a job, he should've never pissed off his bosses as MSG.

Well I didn't watch that many Nets games throughout Jackson's tenure, but from what I heard he was cool and entertaining (of course I see him occasionally on those nationally televised games as well).

Wow, this sucks.

Can you say worst season of the century (so far)?

Perhaps the end of an era? Rj is the last player from those finals team.. Who cares now anyway?
