<{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Wow what an unprofessional move. I can see that from him though, I mean for the past 2 seasons he's been basically campaigning for a coaching job while employing his 'fair but firm' commentary between barbs with Marv and Ian. I'll laugh if he takes a job with the Knicks because then we'll know it had nothing to do with being with his family and he's just making excuses for ditching us.
Snoop's final words from The Wire sum my feeling up on Mark Jackson perfectly: "You were never one of us".
Good riddance.</div>
There's no doubt in my mind that during this season he was posturing himself for a coaching position. Still, despite these tendencies he was the most entertaining broadcaster we had and made the Nets games he did <strike>that much more</strike> entertaining, so I can't be that angry for him. As for offering a false reason for leaving the broadcasting team, I couldn't really care. What matters is that he's leaving. Looking at the reasons he could be leaving, they all seem to be valid. I couldn't fault him for leaving YES for a head coaching job, being closer to his family, or more national games, so I can't be angry if he says one reason while being motivated by another.
I'll tell you what though, it'll be a surprise if someone leaves this organization without any doubts as to their intentions after this year.
