Mass Shooting in Germany

haha, i was just typing "but gun control!!!!!"

It just goes to prove that if someone really wants a gun, they'll get it. There are too many AK47s in the world, cheaply available, especially in the middle east. Smuggling is an old crime, people know how to do it.

Everything I have seen says that nobody was shot, which quells the whole idea of a "mass shooting," and that it's possible the gun wasn't even real.

Our media SERIOUSLY needs to lay off the term Mass Shooting because they clearly don't understand what it means.

However, Focus later reported that the man was armed with a blank weapon, and that people were only hurt by tear gas.

Reminds me of the prohibition. Alcohol was just as available and increased crime 100 fold.

Holy shit, every single news site was blowing up with "25 DEAD IN CINEMA MASSACRE!"

Come to find out, nobody was even shot, DAFUQ is going on with the media.

It's how modern journalism is set up. Everyone rushes to post/re-post whatever they can find. Doesn't matter if it's true or not. Better to be wrong and first, then to wait and be last.

Sickening. And I can guarantee the social justice warriors are out there right now, just blowing up facebook... LOL

You guys seem awfully happy about this.

I'm happy the German gun laws cut down the gun violent deaths from 100 to 50 a year.

Ah well, turns out according to this morning's reports that rumors of mass shooting are not correct. It appears the gunman had a gun shooting blanks and is the only death. That is the latest report.

How terribly un-American.

And if gun laws cut gun deaths in half - that would be pretty good. Not great, but an improvement. I'd bet the "extra" 50 people would think so.

If they're really interested in saving lots of lives, they'll outlaw automobiles. The 50,000+ deaths from car accidents a year who'd be alive would be really happy.

Yeah man, it's fucked up when somebody drives their Prius through a movie theater killing hundreds, or drives their car on campus taking innocent lives. We should sell tanks to everybody so we can protect ourselves from this automobile epidemic.

And newspapers... You know every year 10 Americans suffer news paper related deaths. Don't even get me started on Billboards, granted once we get rid of motor vehicles billboards won't be nearly as deadly.

interesting point about the prius.

The cars that are involved in the most deaths are the GM ones. Corvette, Camaro, etc.

1. Chevrolet Corvette
Number of deaths: ~5.2 per 10,000 vehicles registered

Deaths in Corvettes tends to make for an interesting social study. Historically, it’s had one of the highest death rates of any car, but it’s not due to some glaring engineering fault. It’s hardly a coincidence that in the 1980s, fully 85 percent of everyone that died in a Corvette was male, and nearly a third of those were under the age of 30.

I have never owned a gun in my adult life. I've owned many cars. I am able to function perfectly fine without a gun. I suppose we could go back to horse and buggy days (although those are quite dangerous too), but do you really want a bunch of poop all over the city? Is that what you really want Denny?

31 people killed a day from gun violence
92 people killed a day from auto accidents

Wow.... that list is...... weak.

They are REALLY overplaying the "mass" shooting card. When the media says, "there was a mass shooting!" people immediately think of something like Orlando. They think of 50 people dead. They don't think of a meth sale gone wrong.

Sites like this are only creating fear and furthering the myth that gun violence is on the rise, when the numbers in fact show otherwise.

No. I don't want to go back to horse and buggy. I'm just pointing out that we allow certain models of cars that are dangerous and take lives far more than guns do.

If you really cared about the environment you would ride a bicycle.
