What about that shooting in North Carolina last night on a boat!!!!! 8 dead or something?
 
Part of me wonders if it was a retaliation since the CK shooter was from a Mormon family. But that makes no sense.
 
More proof guns are keeping our children safe? I'm so sick of this shit.

Because we've been told how the other side is the "enemy" and crazed, loons, etc. It makes it easier for crazy people to internally justify killing someone if they're not seen as equals.
 
This one's right next door to me. I got my car from Grand Blanc Toyota. Shooter comes from Burton which starts literally blocks from my house. (If anything it's more depressing than Flint. It's the white trash version - every year they have a festival called "Burtucky" because so many people there have roots in Kentucky.)

Grand Blanc, on the other hand lives up to its name (Big White in French, although it's pronounced Grand Blank) - it's the richest of the Flint suburbs where all the money white-flighted to.

Anyone ever see the film The Crazies (originally a Romero film, remade in the aughts with Timothy Olyphant)? America is starting to remind me of that. Every shooter "was so normal" right until they started slaughtering.

I feel oddly unbothered. I mean, I've lived in Flint for 26 years and it's been top three in the nation for murder rate a lot of that time, and my neighborhood is perfectly safe. How inured to violence it's possible to become.
