Well you do have to admit it is an ignorant statement to make. If KP gets fired (And you never know he may) it hardly will be from not beating the Lakers or Denver in the first round. You may not think much of Paul Allen, but he is not that stupid to forget about the injuries they have suffered.

If I am Paul Allen, I am pissed right now. It would be hard to get past it when it comes time to negotiating a new contract.

There's another way to think about this. People speak through their agents right? Isn't it at least plausible that KP signed off on everything that Lagarrie did? Hell, even if it was Lagarrie's idea and got KP to go along with it, what does that say about KP's judgement?

The sad truth is that I think this was as much KP's doing as it was his agent, if not Lagarrie would be short one client and KP would have put a ton of distance between himself and his agent -- at least something stronger than "I want to be here...Warren (LeGarie) has his own opinions." I call bullshit; if agents have their own opinions and say things contrary to their clients' wishes or interests they don't stay in business very long.

All the reason to tell LaGarrie good bye. If it was KP's idea and he wants to make it look like it wasn't he needs to say "sorry" to LaGarrie and throw him under the bus to save his job. But I hear what you are saying and if it was KP's idea then Allen will not forgive him. Still his only chance is to fire the agent and even then it may not help.
