I think Derrick Favors should be our #1 target. Not sure what the Jazz would want (they want the playoffs and might not disrupt that plus trading to a division rival... this is longshot. Damn) but he is MUCH more available then Paul George and while George has played some PF I don't think that is his best position. Favors fits our biggest need.

Utah would want the world for Favors. Him and Gobert form a great frontcourt there, they have zero reason to trade him and he will not be immediately replaced, their chance to have a good playoffs run is now. It would also make it harder for them to keep Hayward if they traded one of their best players now (Hill can also leave in 3 months).

Favors and Gobert don't share a lot of court time together in-game this year. Favors been struggling (and injured frequently) as a lot of their young guys are blossoming.

Agreed that they would want a lot. But they are considering moving him. They actually don't think they can afford him in 1.5 years after they sign their other guys. As I said, big longshot but I think he fits with us as good as any guy that is available.

Read the break down on Favors this season, he's had a MAJOR drop off on production. He's not worth the Blazers pick. A pick, plus salary flexibility next year and young player could get their attention.

his knees are also a concern, hmmm Blazers go after a guy with knee issues? Risk is relatively low because he only has one more yr after this, but also consider that he becomes a UFA as well. I would not give up much to get him

He had/has a knee injury that he is getting over. Yes he has had a drop-off but there is a reason for it. Of course you could say stay away from him just due to injury but it isn't a serious one at all according to reports. Of course we would check him over in an extensive physical.

Him having the injury is actually the only reason (imo) that we would even have a chance to get him. Literally the perfect fit at PF for us imo. But it would admittedly take a lot. At some point we have to take the risk (maybe not for him but I said the same about Ibaka. Small market teams have to take a risk or just never trade out of fear someone will leave).

I see the click baity rumors have started. The league has gone silent, no one knows what's going on, so have to get them clicks somehow. I would be very surprised if any trade happened here before Thursday. Might even put my phone down for the next day or so.

Shoot, CLEs 1st, Meyers, and Ezeli?
I don't think they mean almost a 2nd rounder (which is close to what CLE's pick is) when they are talking about wanting a 1st and 2nd now.

Lopez isn't a primary target of ours according to those who have some 2nd hand sources. Doesn't fit our timeline most in the organization think.

So the Jazz' trade of Deron Williams ended up getting Devin Harris, Derrick Favors, Enes Kanter, and Trey Burke. That was considered a great haul for their future. Favors is the only one left and he might be gone too?

I think Drummond is getting traded. Maybe to Boston.

first round pick[/QUOTE]

Brewer AND a 1st round pick? Didn't think Sweet Lou would garner that much even though it's a late pick.
