IMO we have seen about as good as Aminu is going to get, I like the guy and think he has a good value contract, but I would not be surprised if last yr was as good as his 3pt shooting is going to get and would not be surprised if he slois thus yr. And we have Hark and Vonleh to play his spot. If a good trade came along I would have no issue with Aminu as part of the package
IMO thinking about this, the best case scenario we get a backup guard and move Crabbe to small forward to share minutes with Harkless. Then we move Turner, Leonard and maybe Plumlee for a center to share minutes with Ezeli, or move a package of Turner and one of Aminu/Davis for a power forward - cannot see who that could be though and also I would prefer to keep Davis due to his versatility and same for Aminu. Even if we have just Ezeli and a new center at 5 and Crabbe/Harkless at 3, it is enough because both our power forwards mentioned can fill in there.
I like where this is going. but really, backup guard isn't all too needed, we still have bazz, who seems like a guy that needs more min to really play to his potential. so if you were to move turner, nards, plums for a solid big we wouldn't be out all that much. you let him run point with cj out there and still have the rest of our guards and guard/sf's to cycle around that.
Well, if Crabbe starts at SF then he cannot at all times cover for CJ at shooting guard, and Napier can't play there either. I am not saying we have to get an expensive star to fill in at SG but a competent back up would be fine. I like the idea of starting all of Lillard, McCollum and Crabbe, it could be lethal.
LOL, seriously? Vonleh and Davis for DMC?

Because if the Blazers got a player like Rudy Gay he would instantly take Lillards place as the leader of the team. He would be the exact same as he is playing with the Kings.I wouldn't have a problem taking Rudy Gay back with DMC. The Blazers are ready to win now. Develop/smelop.
Huh? Aint no one replacing dame as the leader, whether they score more or not.Because if the Blazers got a player like Rudy Gay he would instantly take Lillards place as the leader of the team. He would be the exact same as he is playing with the Kings.
It's sarcasm. I'd still take Gay in a trade if we got DMC.Huh? Aint no one replacing dame as the leader, whether they score more or not.

I'm with ya, man. As long as our out-going package consists of Aminu/Meyers/Turner/Pick (sub Crabbe for Turner if we have to). Taking back Gay would be a concession on our part - not something we want but something we do to make the deal more enticing to SAC.It's sarcasm. I'd still take Gay in a trade if we got DMC.
The Blazers need a 3rd scorer and Rudy Gay would be a great 3rd option. Right now it's supposed to be Crabbe, Harkless or Aminu and I don't see it!
Our 3rd scorer is Layman, duh.
You can never have enough shooters!By next year this might actually be true. At least his form is sweet on his deep ball.
Either Ed or Meyers is getting moved. Count on it.
And possibly a wing as well.
Everyone knows he can shoot and body up traditional Cs. At $10M there's value in him.Meyers isn't going to have any trade value if he's still playing like crap, that contract isn't that much with the new CBA, but it's still looking bad right now in the very early season.
I cannot decide which hole in our line up is bigger - center or power forward. We probably need both.
BTW I might get murdered for this if grudges in NBA are similar to European football, but if Aldridge became available like rumored a couple of weeks ago, would you take him back for a reasonable package we could put together? Must say that coming from Europe and not having consistent touch with NBA fans, I am not sure how that works.
Yeah but I don't think we are keeping Plumlee but if Ezeli was fit, he would suffice. Defense will improve greatly when he is back IMO.I think our center position would be fine, if we had a really good power forward. I think Plumlee/Leonard/Ezeli (eventually) would be totally serviceable if we had the right guy at the four.

At PF there is a huge hole. Vonleh would be a good option now but he's still a couple of years away in terms of development.
Aminu + Davis/Plumlee + maybe Crabbe for Millsap would work and would leave money in the bank to extend him next years. The doubt I have is extending a 32-year old but by the time he is done, Noah will be ready. Terrific defender, good shooter, consistent
Not unless he has a personality transplant.I cannot decide which hole in our line up is bigger - center or power forward. We probably need both.

Millsap is going to get max money.... and that's some kind of ridiculous number like $130+ million. Totally not worth it for a guy that age.
