Woj saying Boston will probably look to go after Paul George or Butler tomorrow right before deadline

Woj on PG13:

Indy operating in two different rails. 1. To bring in additional talent so George will stay. 2. Out measuring what offers are available for George so if they can't add talent around him, they have an idea of what they can get for him. PG13's focus is to either re-sign no or next year.....or go to the Lakers when his deal is over.

Boston is trying to leverage a deal with both Chicago or Indy. The team that misses out will likely get less for their player because no other team has what Boston can offer in terms of assets.

Damn the Knicks wanna give up D rose for nothing practically? man that organization is a mess

Really wish we were going after Nerlens man he would be perfect to pair with Nurkic

Per Woj: Noel is harder to trade due to him being a RFA than Okafor is. However, PHI is treating Okafor as the #3 pick and no other team is willing to value him similarly. Chicago has inquired about Okafor and has made it pretty public that Mirotic is available...who is also a RFA.

Thibbs trying to trade Rubio for Rose.
Few months ago Wolves wanted to package Rubio with shabaz mohammed.

Per Woj: Chicago may try to reset to give Hoiberg a younger team which he seems better with. He's not as good with veterans especially under a new program and new coach.

Per WoJ: Danny Ainge has to decide how close they are to catching Cleveland with an injured Love and a possibly worn down James. BOS has to decide how important those Draft picks are and also what they think of Jaylen Brown who has developed to the point he is now starting. BOS is going to have to offer enough that CHI or IND won't be able to say 'No'.

Per Woj: TOR is still looking even after getting Ibaka. They want a focused Ibaka who is blocking shots and rebounding. But will he get the shots he wants to help him get a big contract this summer? They are in 'win-now' mode and would like to ad another piece. Interest in PJ Tucker from PHX but TOR doesn't want to give up another 1st round pick.

Mannix: With Portland having three 1st round picks, is that a pre-cursor to anything?

Woj: Portland is in good position to re-tool this roster even though they spent a lot of money last summer. It's not inconceivable they move some of these pieces that could help a playoff team. Ed Davis, Allen Crabbe....don't be surprised if Portland ends up with 4 1st round picks by the end of the day. Portland isn't driving for that 8th seed to get drilled by GSW and and looking long term.

If they get a 4th 1st round pick, maybe come the Draft they combine some of those and really climb up the Lottery. The Blazers have a lot of flexibility. Where they are from a Cap standpoint, those picks will really help.

Woj would never leak anything Blazers related until it's finished because I'm almost 100% sure his source is Neil

Woj: What is the latest you can start on a trade and get it done by the deadline?

Marks: Noon (3 hours to go) in order to get everything completed and the paperwork in order and turned in.

So what I got from that is we could shed a player for a pick potentially because some teams are in the playoff push mode. I would think Crabbe is the most attractive piece even with his contract

Marc Stein says we were interested in Drummond until they started asking for CJ. We rebuffed

Sources: Pistons open to Andre Drummond, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope offers http://es.pn/2mmLkuC

One league source told ESPN's Ramona Shelburne that the Portland Trail Blazers called to inquire about Drummond but quickly abandoned their interest when Detroit asked for Blazers guard C.J. McCollum in return. The Blazers, sources told Shelburne, regard McCollum as an untouchable.
