Don't know why the hell they traded Dipo and Sabonis for him in the first place.

They've been waffing back and forth between rebuild and win now for the last two or three years. That day, was an, "I think we can win now" day.

Today appears to be a rebuild day.

No wonder Scott Skiles fled that mess. If there is one thing I know about Scott Skiles, it's that he hates to lose. They were constantly telling him he needed to play the younger players so they could develop, but also harping on him about the team's record. He didn't make that mess, but they wanted to blame it on him. No, Frank Vogel is in the exact same boat.

Orlando GM Hennigan held a luncheon meeting this afternoon. A person at the meeting posted a very good report of the meeting. Hennigan was very open and answered all questions dealing with past trades and moves, and goals for the future.

If you want to read the entire report, go to RealGM Orlando forum, Hennigan Luncheon thread. If you do not want to read the entire thread, I believe the report is on page 5, about half way down, post #93.

Here are highlight quotes concerning the possible Ibaka trade.

He did seem to think that having Vuc, Ibaka, and Biyombo was hindering Gordon's development.

-We are currently building around Elf + Gordon + Vuc. If a better block presents itself, he would shift course but as of now...those are the core guys.

-We literally went team by team and talked about the players that are available. The best players on the market right now are Dragic. Butler, Melo, and Gallo.

-We are actively exploring trades for Dragic & Butler.

elf, gordon, and vuc are 21, 22, and 26
Butler is 27, Dragic is 30.

Miami or Chicago would be taking a big risk in the hopes of resigning "the surge protector".
