Given that we just traded for Nurkic, would you still be open to trading for Cousins if we didn't give up CJ and Dame?

New Orleans has very few trade assets, so if Sacremento discussed a Cousins trade with them then it could mean we'd have a chance at trading assets outside of McLillard for Cousins.

Of course, Sacramento's ownership has no idea what they want to do, and everything hinges on their ownership.

And according to woj latest tweets, cousins is staying and this is all rumors but who knows

Vlade came out and told Cousins and his agent that they were not going to trade him.

Either the Kings are big dummies in the way they are handling Cousins future with the team (Definite possibility)

Or he is not going anywhere in a trade.

There's no way TO get him without giving up one of the two. The rest of our team has little value.

I am confused by this trade talk and really confused as to why New Orleans could land these stars with these offers

If those are the options, why would you not just convert CJ into a PG and start Crabbe or Turner at SG?
Was just going to say that I think in that hypothetical situation CJ would slide to PG and we would find a replacement at the 2. You're not going to find a PG to replace Lillard, therefor you slide McCollum over, and it becomes easier to find whatever you need in a SG.

No thanks. I'm already in a relationship with Nurkic.

Paul George and Jimmy Butler look pretty hot though. If we could get a fourth first rounder for someone like Aminu/Harkless, I would offer up pretty much all of them for either one.

No longer interested in DMC - his future salary is cost-prohibitive. I would only salary-dump for him, with the idea that we wouldn't re-sign him this summer unless it were for a reasonable amount.

Oh, damn! Another Moses Malone trade. I hate those.

We have more assets outside of Lillard and McCollum than New Orleans has outside of Davis.

We have assets good for a rebuild (Harkless, Crabbe, Vonleh, 3 firsts).

New Orleans has oft-injured, expiring vets (Evans, Holiday), a pick, a bust in Hield, as well as 1 first and a bunch of bad contracts.

So if Sacramento is engaging in serious talks with the Pelicans, it shows that Cousins could be had without giving up Lillard or McCollum

If you traded Dame, who would you go get to replace him at point guard? Preferably I'd want someone defensive minded and tall.

But I would MUCH rather have PG than Cousins, and it's not even close.
