Merged: Cousins traded to N'Awlins (for some Cajun shrimp)

Alright I tuned back in to hear Marc Spears talk about the draft.

Some other dude calls in bummed about Casspi being traded and talks about how what ever Omri Casspi whom the fan said was "the embodiment of culture that Divac claims he is trying to create" posted on twitter / instagram after being traded would shed some light on the situation. Grant was very quick to cut him off after he said that... So naturally I have to find out what it was that Casspi said.

Seems fairly routine to me. Not sure why Grant would have cut him off about that.

I wonder if the Blazers were the other team that offered a better deal for Cousins

...sorry if this was posted already, but any time B.E. is involved I want to be sure others can enjoy the laughter as much as I do!

I don't like BE either, but Crabbe seems pretty thin skinned.

I wish Crabbe showed that level of aggression on the court with a mostly-open shot and a defender running at him.
Fear not, Crabbe will be traded in the offseason. It makes too much sense for this not to happen.

DAMN man. This dude really loved this place

That's what i kept saying here: Thug loyalty is much better than all these quiet, sensitive motherfuckers who think only about themselves like LMA or Durant.

I am posting this in this thread because some have speculated CP3 is going back to New Orleans.

Chris Paul will opt out of his final $24.26 million and ink a new deal with the Clippers for north of $200 million. While Knicks fan often dream of a Carmelo Anthony-Paul tandem, it’s not going to happen. Sources close to the process said that it’s already been verbally agreed to and it’s simply a function of the calendar and the new Collective Bargaining Agreement kicking in.

Seems like Blake Griffin is the one that LAC may lose. Boston has had preliminary talks about him.

Odd timing. Why announce this now?

Perhaps to reduce distractions. Maybe to be the first to announce to induce Griffin to start thinking about re-signing, rather than Griffin factoring into his thinking that Paul might leave also.

Toronto offered Valanciunas + 1st (late)

Not sure how Weltman would've re-signed Lowry and Cousins. With DD making max and Carroll making 2/3rds max that is a lot to pay out to four players.

Walton, like him or not, knows a little about the game. He just laughed when his broadcast partner said Boogie was a top 10-15 player.

Then said he's wasted too much of his life talking about him.

Bill is for real...and genuinely a nice guy but it just doesn't translate to broadcasting games for me...he'd be better with Ernie Johnson and crew

How comfortable would you be with Bill Walton as the Blazers' GM? He certainly wouldn't be my pick.

I actually like him a lot as a broadcaster, but that's because his opinions are unvarnished and immediate, and he has a colorful way of speaking. It's not because I think he's a great evaluator of talent. I think he'd make a great big man coach, though!
