Re: ESPN projects the Team of the Decade (2010-2019)

I read the thread title too fast and for a second I thought the title was "ESPN Project team of the decade". Then I was thinking, why would they give an award for the team that was the biggest project of the decade? Then I re-read it. Thats what happens when you are not caffeinated yet. :)

Somehow I was 99.99% sure it would be OKC. Like I said, flavor of the month.

Also, the Lakers beat the Pistons in 04. The New England Patriots had an undefeated season right up to the Super Bowl. The Warriors with Chris Webber and Don Nelson at the helm were the Western Conference Champions. The Cavs played the Lakers for the 2010 title. Dewey defeated Truman. Hillary Clinton and Rudolf Giuliaini would win their respective party's nominations for President.

you get the picture...

Luckily for us, it's not a popularity contest. I prefer to let our game do the talking.

Hell look whats going on in player movement. One year a team is an up and coming team. A year later they could be a team looking to rebuild, because one guy leaves.

Re: ESPN predicts Team Of The Decade 2010-2019 (Blazers don't get a single vote)

Oops didn't see the other thread on this, mods feel free to merge/lock.

A year ago, we would have been #1. Oh how the mighty have fallen!

Let's face it. Oden's chronic injury problems have cast a big shadow over this franchise.

How many years in a row will we have to win more games than the Thunder to get more credit than they do?

Maybe all of them. :)

Hell knowing the press, we could win a shitload and still not get recognition, and I would consider it business as usual.

The thing is, the Thunder suffered injuries to many of their best players while the Blazers were completely injury-free and the Thunder still beat the Blazers in almost every match-up.

Exactly. I have an image of Oden that proves it.
