Leave it to George to upstage one of the MLB's biggest events on his last day on this earth. I know there are many who despise him, but the one thing you can always say about George is that he put the money he made off the Yankees back into the Yankees.

I wonder if he has tried to fire God yet?


Paul Allen is a lot like him when it comes to owning a team. While they might not make the best decissions, they are both passionate about winning, and put as much as they can into winning. Let's hope that somehow PA can be rewarded with a title of his own.

Don't know, I guess it depends on what you believe? ? I do know that Steinbrenner was one of the most charitable people though. He was a very generous man.

The NYC media and fans are vicious. If he'd been an owner elsewhere, he'd have had a better image. He's one of the NYC sports history giants.
