Its only a matter of when. Time to ship out Webster. he sucks. Time to bring in a legit SF. Do whatever it takes to land rudy gay or gerald wallace. memphis isnt resigning him.

theres no way Kp can sit on his ass anymore. he has been forced to make a deal. thats the only good news out of this horrific season.

Re: KP has to make a trade... its not even a question anymore.

We need a powerfoward / center person at this point. Gregs out and Godzilla can't do all the work.

Re: KP has to make a trade... its not even a question anymore.

Sadly, we may not have enough active players as trade-able assets to pull the kind of 2-for-1 or 3-for-1 deal that might have netted us a legit high quality starter at whatever position we were looking to fill. At this point we're probably looking down the barrel of trading Outlaw and one active roster guy (like Martell or maybe Steve :dunno:) and hoping we can get back somebody average or even serviceable.

There may be some trades soon, but I'd lower your sights.

Re: KP has to make a trade... its not even a question anymore.

its our only hope

Re: KP has to make a trade... its not even a question anymore.

Rudy, Miller, and Bayless are the only players on our roster who don't completely suck ass or are injured who I can imagine any sane GM would give us value for, much less rob someone of a Rudy Gay or Gerald Wallace level player.

Good luck, KP. You're going to need it.

Re: KP has to make a trade... its not even a question anymore.

well remember one thing.... expiring contracts are sought after. have you seen attendance at these teams games? theres a reason teh grizz didnt sign rudy and bobcats lost to the nets. they will be inclined to do a deal. outlaw expires and webster still is young. we def have pieces to move.

Re: KP has to make a trade... its not even a question anymore.

I highly doubt we'd be able to bring in a high-impact player through trade right now. Unfortunately, we're just going to have to wait for our guys to get healthy again before they're tradeable. It's so inexplicable what's happened to our franchise since training camp started.

Re: KP has to make a trade... its not even a question anymore.

thats BS... expiring contracts (outlaw and blake) are huge.

its just are we willing to take on salary

Re: KP has to make a trade... its not even a question anymore.

We'll just have to wait for our 'assets' to heal from their injuries before we can get full value.

However, not trading RLEC just looked a lot worse as of yesterday.

Re: KP has to make a trade... its not even a question anymore.

lots of things have looked bad yesterday....

lots of things.

Re: KP has to make a trade... its not even a question anymore.

and again... why is it so many posters dont understand teams want salary relief. an expiring contract to a team like the bobcats is more valuable then talent. even more so with the big free agent class in 2010.

The Bobcats just took on a headcase like SJax and dealt expiring deals away. I don't think there's much of a change at getting Gerald Wallace since they are trying to improve now.

If I were KP I'd target David Lee, Caron Butler, Al Harrington or Tayshaun Prince.

Well Mixum, I'll tell you why. We've watched this team sit on the expiring contracts of Damon Stoudamire, SAR, & Raef and do nothing. Each time the deadline came, we were stoked at the possibilities and each time . . . nada. And those were big contracts! Raef had to be the worst let down.

You, on the other hand, are talking about $4 million for Travis and $4.9 million for Blake. It's hard to imagine that sort of "relief" is all that coveted.

Re: KP has to make a trade... its not even a question anymore.

bobcats are an example. EXPIRING CONTRACTS ARE HUGE AND $4 MILLION IS CHUMP CHANGE IN TODAYS GAME

i feel like murdock in baseketball.

That's possible, but I can't help but think that angle is played up by the media. It's very unlikely we'll be getting a major impact player with only a pair of 3.6 and 4 million dollar expiring contracts (one of which is out for who knows how long, and the other is barely serviceable at this point).

Try Blake for Bass

Re: KP has to make a trade... its not even a question anymore.

Try Blake for Bass

Maybe ... I guess his style would be somewhat complimentary in that he would add yet another floor spacer to their roster (assuming he starts to actually hit shots again).

We're over a barrel here though and other teams know that. I'm sure they'll try to extort a little more out of us (like Claver's draft rights or something ... which I would happily part with).

Re: KP has to make a trade... its not even a question anymore.

Outside of Roy and LMA, the Blazers have 13 players who are gimps, not very good, or both.

I know nobody wants to hear it - but this is blow-it-up-and-start-over time.

Re: KP has to make a trade... its not even a question anymore.

Why would the wizards part with him?

Fez seems to like to throw out trade ideas for guys not available. McGee, Beasley, Eric Gordon.

Re: KP has to make a trade... its not even a question anymore.

Outlaw, Webster, and Blake to Charlotte.

Ajinca, Wallace to Portland.

Salaries match up. Charlotte does it cause they have a track record of making terrible decisions, and Outlaw's and Blake's contract expire. Portland makes room at the 3 spot, and brings in a 7 footer to play off the bench.

Re: KP has to make a trade... its not even a question anymore.

Bass, Prince, Diaw

....

Turiaf/Maxiell

Re: KP has to make a trade... its not even a question anymore.

i dont care at this point... we need a trade just alone for the fact webster sucks balls

At the start of the season, weren't you propping Webster up as this year's obvious starter at SF?

You and KS are the king and queen of flip-flopping.

Go Blazers

Re: KP has to make a trade... its not even a question anymore.

i was wong about webster but no offense batum isnt the answer either, we need a scorer at SF BADLY

watch us vs the knicks on mon.... a team who will score over 100. we wont keep up with that pace.

Re: KP has to make a trade... its not even a question anymore.

I think we'll have to wait for the draft for KP to make a move.

Just the thought of doing a mid-season trade sends KP into an anxiety attack.

Re: KP has to make a trade... its not even a question anymore.

fez... i would agree but i dont think he has a choice.
