You're using hyperbole and alleged herd mentality to justify antisocial behavior on your part.

Yes, there is an ignore feature. Yes, you CAN ignore threads that he starts, and yes it IS your fault if you choose to participate and then (for whatever reason) become enraged by his posts.

If you attack him, and then people attack you for attacking him, it muddies the board. MIXUM, say what you want about him, posts about the BLAZERS. You and a few others seem intent to post about MIXUM. If you don't understand why one is acceptable and the other is not then I don't know what to tell you.

I'm with Ed O. If you don't want to read his shit, don't click on the threads and/or put him on ignore. The guy really only talks about the Blazers. He is over the top negative, but that is his right. It would be boring as shit to have everyone with the same opinion.

I, myself, have made fun of MIXUM a few times, but I think its just silly now. The anti-MIXUM posts on this board are lame because they aren't attacking his ideas but are attacking the poster.

IDK how much of a troll he is, as people claim, as much as the fact that he is an overly pessimistic, passionate Blazer fan who takes the game too seriously... but whatever floats his boat. I agree that it gets old and annoying though, and a lot of the time he simply states the same thing over and over, but what can ya do. If that is the way he likes to do it, so be it.

I third this idea.

I've already put Mixum on my ignore list and it really hasn't helped tone-down the spam that is produced by all his threads. It's not so much his takes, but rather how often he re-produces the same argument/tone of voice in every thread. It's excessive and needs to be controlled a bit more because it's hard to read through threads that are spammed with yelling and takes on "WENEEDATRADENOWOMFGTW!" It makes reading through this forum a lot more difficult. I have a hard time believing Mixum hasn't noticed the frustration by many of the posters on this board, yet he continues to do his thing just to fire everyone up. It makes me think he is knowingly lashing out just to frustrate other Blazer fans on this board. If he really was trying to have a thoughtful discussion about Blazer basketball he would've adjusted his take by now or at least considered changing his strategy for presenting his own thoughts.

That's my stance.

First of all, talking about a policy and/or unacceptable behavior is entirely reasonable. The unacceptable behavior here is NOT when people argue with/against or even attack MIXUM's (or anyone's) position or ideas... that's what the board is FOR. It's when they attack him as a person and as a poster. It's when they "don't stand for MIXUM's bullshit and call him out."

Secondly, consider this logically.

Is a poster a troll?

If no, and he's not violating the terms of service of the board, then the conversation stops.

If yes, then what can he accomplish? He can have fun just posting in and of itself, or he can have fun when people attack him... when they "call him out".

If you think he's a troll, stop responding and let those of us who enjoy talking basketball talk about it.

Because Oden returned to the game after the bone-on-bone collision and recorded a few rebounds and a couple of slam dunks. Would that be likely with a cracked patella?

First of all, a "bunch of people" don't gang up on him. It's the same four or five people that keep whining and bitching about him. Over and over. The same four or five people that feel so fucking self-righteous because they're bigger fans, or can remain more composed, or just like to make fun of a guy because they know they can get away with it. And yet the same people that aren't smart and/or polite enough to simply put him on their "ignore" list.

Yes, he posts in his own threads. Yes, he defends his positions sometimes. Does he do it effectively? That's subjective, of course, but most people on this board are challenged to defend their positions, so he would not be alone if he had troubles.

OK! So you want to call me out now. I thought we were boys. I'm just have a realistic view of the team, as well as realistic expectations. At the beginning of the season, I said around 50 wins. When we win, you never see me get all,"We are winning the championship" or if we lose you never here,"Fire so-n-so" I stay pretty even. I thought we'd start 12-12 and slowly gain momentum. We are playing better then I thought we would. My criticism will surely grow when my expectations do.

I just don't think I've ever heard you criticize the team, at least not that I can recall. I realize you work for them, and it probably wouldn't look good if you were on this board saying bad things about Nate, or KP, or a player... but sometimes I think you're just an extension of the team on this board.
