US really has a bad habit of starting matches poorly.
 
yep. Lets hope they continue the string of good 2nd halves.
 
Come on US. Starting about the 25 min. mark we started to pick it up. But they owned us because they are more skilled/athletic/fast/etc... than us... but they tire. Within 15 minutes of the start.

So we gotta survive the initial onslaught and put one in the goal and take it to extra time.

Go USA!

1-1 after the Landon Donovan penalty kick. Almost was too careful too make it impossible to save...off the post and in.
 
It makes me happy that so many people in this country are getting to see how wonderful and how tense and not "Boring" this game is.

Heh, purely bad sportsmanship. This is the side of soccer I hate. But hopefully the officials are adding it all to stoppage time.
 
US had plenty of chances to get the winning goal in regulation. Just couldn't find the back of the net. US seems good at creating chances but not so good at finishing them.

I tried so hard to enjoy watching the game today, but I was still bored until the last couple minutes. I know you people love this stuff, but to me it's like watching a college baseball game or something.

not everyones cup of tea for sure. For those of you who are "trying" to like Soccer, if this game didnt do it for you, then I suggest stopping trying now :cheers: (not saying thats a bad thing... I just dont agree with you all :) )
