And, one of Houston/Denver is guaranteed to lose. If the Blazers can win tonight, they can gain ground on two of the teams they are battling against for play-off seeding.

Tied in the standings with Utah for the division (though they have the tie-breaker) and only 1 game out of the 3 seed and 2.5 games out of the 2 seed.

Not bad.
 
What happened to all those posters who thought we would not be in the playoffs when the Suns went 6-2 over an 8 game span. They did not look at the competition during that little streak. We are in, magic number of 14 or 15 now?

How funny about the Dallas Phoenix game tonight. I am pulling for Dallas tonight to keep Phoenix out. Then tomorrow I am of coarse rooting against them.

No. This is not about the playoffs. This is a night by night situational thing. As for tonight, Phoenix and Indy (Granger makes his return!)

Utah is back on top and there's quite a bit of time. I wouldn't get my hopes up, if I were you.
 
Terrible shooting night by DWill and Boozer and they still win. Ugh.
 
Oh well. Jazz have Hawks, Heat, and Magic now. The streak should stop soon.
 
We could conceivably move to 3rd tonight!

If we win, the Hawks win, and the Lakers win, we will have sole possession of 3rd place in the conference! How incredible is that? And I think all three wins are realistic.

I've been rooting for the Lakers all season when they've played non-Blazers conference teams in the playoff picture. They're still the best weapon for the greater Blazer good, outside of the Blazers winning their own games.

I SO much wanted to purchase those behind-the-Jizz-bench tickets for tonight's game. Being semi-unemployed doesn't help. :sigh:
 
If Portland beats Dallas, and Utah loses to Atlanta on the road, and Houston loses to the Lakers, Portland could be in third place by the end of the night by percentage points.

Yep! And New Orleans is down 10 to the Wizards right now!
 
Atlanta is on top of Utah, too. Unfortunately both games are still early.
 
Atlanta was up 13 at halftime but they can't hit anything in the third quarter. Only a 3 point lead now.
