"Orlando sends No. 6 pick to Portland for all of Portland's first-round picks: the 15th, 20th and 26th picks of the draft." To draft Markanen? Are they stupid?New mock draft from CBS with lots of crazy trades.http://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/n...or-paul-george-kings-trade-up-for-daaron-fox/
I get the rest of the league is in "We are going to you a favor" mode. But it only makes sense to give up Crabbe and co. if we get equal talent back. Just dumping salary comes across as panic mode unless we plan to give it all to Nurkic.
Unless Allen plans to go deep into the luxury tax, Portland needs all that salary to give to Nurkic next off-season.

Actually asking if the guy who wrote the piece is stupid? Because I also don't care for Markanen. Not sure I understand your question. Are you asking if Orlando or the Blazers would be stupid?
I believe there are two questions here, so I will rephrase your post to something I can answer.
Q. Should the Blazers trade all three first round picks for #6?
A. This question is very debatable, since trading all three picks will make it more difficult for NO to make more trades on draft night. However, if there is a player still on the board that NO is 100% certain is an above average NBA starter, then make the trade. But unloading one of our bad contracts with the three picks would make the deal easier to swallow.
Q. Who should the Blazers pick @ #6.
A. Since I would not waste any of our first round picks on Markannen, using #6 would be stupid and a total waste of three first round picks. We would only have Markannen on the Blazers roster if we want a player that makes Myers Leonard look good. That is how much I think Markannen is overrated in this draft. Which begs the question, are the rest of the players in this highly rated draft class also overrated? Probably not, I see a couple of players I might take with #6.
I don't believe that for a second. If anything they could be floating that out there hoping to move down, or land an established stararticle claims that the lakers are passing on Ball at #2http://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nba/report-lakers-currently-plan-on-passing-on-lonzo-ball/ar-BBBUKvy?li=BBmkt5R&ocid=spartandhp
Not really following the draft this year, so this is the best I got for you:@Rastapopoulos
Who is this cat?

Draftexpress updated their Mock and has us taking him with the #26.
I've mentioned him several times over the past several weeks, IMO a good pure backup C prospect vs a lot of the PF/C types - depends what we prefer, I'd give him a hard look at 26 depending (prefer Bolden though) on what we did with our other picks if we still have them both. My killer draft would be Bell/Bolden/Pasceniks - adding Jeanne to the list as well, also, some of these guys (Bolden/Bell) are still projected in 2nd rd, so if that sticks and seems likely I'd trade down or buy a second rdr or two and perhaps trade an earlier pickI don't believe that for a second. Lonzo and his idiot father bring headlines to LA LA land

tell ya what, if Bolden and Bell could be had in the second are they are steals IMO - fantastic risk/reward, I also continue to like Semi ONoticing that Pasecniks had moved up; I thought I would look at other changes in Draftexpress mock. Other guys who seems to be moving up several spots are Kenard and John Collins and Donovan Mitchell (from very early mocks). Isaac and Markkanen seemed to have moved up maybe one spot. Jonathan Jeanne and Ojeleye have moved up. Og Anunoby and Justin Jackson moved down a little, seemingly now in range for the Blazers. Tyler Lydon moved down several spots. Rabb has moved down.
Jonah Bolden still way down there at #46, and Bell still in 2nd round at 35.
I should add that Zach Collins, who was previously as high as #10, is now at #13.Noticing that Pasecniks had moved up; I thought I would look at other changes in Draftexpress mock. Because he can spot up? Is that all you value?Thoughts on Kennard? I like that boiiiii
He can stroke it. If Crabbe goes, he makes a lot of sense.Thoughts on Kennard? I like that boiiiii

I can't see Orlando being super interested in our 3 picks for 6, personally. They have enough ok guys on their team. But, maybe if it was a 2 step process. 15 and Harkless to NYK for 8, and then 8 and 26 for 6?Switch that pick to Isaac and I would be very interested.
For me, all three picks for Isaac would be fantastic and my greatest hope (after PG of course)
Top two picks for ZCollins would be great.
Otherwise, I would rather keep the three picks because I think there are some really good players available at 15-30.
Or some sort of 3 tiered move up. 15 and 26 for 10. 10 and Harkless for 8 + ??. 8 and ? for 6.I can't see Orlando being super interested in our 3 picks for 6, personally. And agree on Isaac over Markannen
