Tony Parker 66, Dallas 54.

It's amazing but true -- while he was on the floor, one player accounted for more points than the entire opposing team.

Parker did it last night in San Antonio's 93-76 win over Dallas. He had 37 points and 12 assists, plus five of his dimes accounted for 3-pointers -- a total of 66 points. Meanwhile, in the 37 minutes that Parker played, the Mavericks scored only 54 of their 76 total points.

So Parker not only generated more points than the Mavs … he did so by double digits. It was one of the most amazing performances of the season, made even more incredible by the absence of teammates Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili -- Parker was a one-man band and the Mavs still couldn't stop it. He scored or assisted on all but 13 of San Antonio's points when he was on the court to lead the Spurs to a shockingly easy win.

It's imperative that we shut Parker down tonight.

Re: Duncan out tonight

They don't have one. They should be embarrased about it.

I'm hopeful we'll find a way to win tonight, but if you look at the recent history, there's a certain French point guard who has been the main source of our problems with the Spurs. As long as he's playing, I'm not getting my hopes up for a win.

Spurs are tough. They almost beat the Nuggets (in Denver, I believe) without Duncan, Manu, or PARKER.

Yes they are. It is because everybody coming off the bench (at least the high amount of players) are all veterans, they don't get rattled, and they pick up their level of play when a major piece goes down. Add in the fact that they are playing at home, and they will have extra energy.

Thinking that Portland will win just because Duncan is out is the same kind of thinking that gave the Celtics a loss when Roy was out.

You can give Gregg Poppovich and Jerry Sloan a couple D-League teams and they would still be a tough team to beat.

Re: Duncan out tonight

Sorry. I just saw it's already been posted.

Re: Duncan out tonight

Woo-hoo!

Let's take advantage of it.

We were trounced last night by a Mingless/McGradyless rockets team.

How long will it be before Nate McMoron has a lineup of Sergio, Randolph, Frye, Outlaw and Rudy in the game?

Ming played last night. McGrady was a hindrance all season and they're better off without him. Watch them finally get out of the first round. That would be hilarious. Not, of course, if it was at our expense.

now there is some foreshadowing :devilwink:

I believe we outscored them when Ming was in the game, because they went on their big run when he was out.
