It'd be great if LAC trades for George, then CP3 signs with the Spurs! LOL! It'd kinda be like when Brand recruited Barron Davis, then left after Davis committed to LAC!

LAC wouldn't gain any ground, and CP3 would discover how miserable to play with Aldridge and would still be stone-walled by the 2nd round! The schadenfreude would be excellent all the way around!

Yeah, that's actually a pretty damn good offer for the Pacers, surprisingly so IMO.

Well the thing is, isnt Randle a RFA after next year? The lakers can't afford to pay him anyways. This is why i wouldnt trade for him if i was the blazers (not saying they're interested)

I hope the Lakers trade Randle/Clarkson for George - makes it MUCH more likely that after a year in LAL George will want to sign with a team with talent! We just have to figure out how to dump Crabbe+Tuner+Meyers+Aminu without taking any contracts back...

You are probably correct. BUT

Look at it from PG’s and his agent’s point of view. What did they have to lose by killing PG trade value, and forcing a trade?

Nothing, actually a case can be made that they improved PGs chances of going to a wining team.

If the Fakers paid full value for PG, they would be much weaker after giving up so many assets.

I think you're right. Lakers don't want to take a chance on losing him. Once KP hears his best offer, LA will have to give a little more.

I certainly would. If for some reason the Pacers were more interested in Crabbe/20/26 than the Lakers' package, I'd be pretty happy with receiving Randle/Clarkson in a 3-way deal.

Of course I'd rather have George, but absent that...
