Unfortunately, it's true. Unless indy wants to just take on the horrible contracts of Crabbe/Leonard.. Oh well. It's why I don't get involved in the offseason stuff too much... it hardly ever comes to light, so I find better ways to bide the time.
Where's a Police Academy marathon when you need it?

That's a big domino. Drives down market value and all but forces Indy to trade him.

To pretty much only LA. Who else would trade for him now? And why would the lakers give up anything?

A team like Cleveland might try to see if they can get him cheaply, as a one-year rental to try and win the title.

I don't see anything in that article that changes what the narrative has always been. We all knew he wanted to play for LA. Him being more vocal about it doesn't change anything other than other teams now won't touch him. Benefit Portland.

The offer to Indy can now be very small. #15 + Ezeli + Moe for PG13.

Gamble on the ability to sell him your organisation in 12 months. Low risk / High reward.

I bet there's a team out there that's thinking that same exact thing except they will offer even more.

Possible. But it's then a bidding war. Which we could have significant leverage in.

The timing of this is interesting though.

Why? if he's gonna get traded, Thursday seems the most likely. The thing i dont understand is how this is so different than his interview a couple days ago where he said he wants to stay (we all knew it was bs, but)

That's exactly why it's interesting. I was under the impression that Indy would hold onto him and hope he made all NBA so they could offer him the supermax. Now a draft day trade seems inevitable.

Give them Moe+15+20+2018 1st. Do it! Let's just witness a year of awesomeness before going back to our usual mediocrity. Hell give em Crabbe too and get back big Al.

Switch #15 to #20 and I'd probably do that. A lineup of Dame, CJ, Nurk and George should easily be a 55+ win team if they stay healthy. There's a chance George would like the winning and stay.

I say fuck it, offer something. We dished out mega contracts to crabbe, turner, shitty one to Meyers. If the organization will take that risk, try Paul George for a season. Fuck it

The thing is, if Paul George comes to Blazers and we are in western conference finals legitimately challenging Warriors, I think he would re-sign with us... maybe today he is set on Lakers... but I have a hard time seeing him leave Dame, CJ and Nurk if they experience success... I think we should offer Crabbe and 2 picks... probably more than anyone else will offer.

As long as they're the two lower picks.

Rip City fans should be chanting his name every game and cheering like crazy for that mfer.

Screw renting a player for a year, especially a Laker fanboy. Fuckin barf. Better off rolling the dice with our picks and/or maybe gaining some trade value thru them, and making some other deal. Short-sighted, overpriced instant gratification move imo. New gameplan, fuck PG.

Depends on whether he thinks he ca re-sign him. It's totally a Cuban type of move though.
They don't even have a borderline all-star talent right now. We have 2 maybe 3. I don't think Cuban would be that dumb.

So PG told the Pacers he was leaving. Do they wait til the deadline, or deal him now to the Lakers? The deadline could open up more teams wanting a push towards a title.
