Us mods actually have a very similar tool that produces much of the same results. It's called the Delete Post button.

Hell I'm still trying to figure out how the IGNORE option works.
 
When looking at a thread, click the username of the person you want to ignore, and find the Ignore option on the dark grey panel.

...believe it or not, about 30 years ago I actually watched the same guy get his ass beat by the same person 3 times in about 6 hours...how dumb is that?
 
^^^nope, doesn't work like that...unless they've changed it, it simply shows an abbreviated box and that he posted and that he's on your "ignore" list and it asks you if you want to view the post anyway.
