Well, Jays won their 'must win' game..........now it's
the Cubs turn. They will be facing a strong power
pitcher in deGrom, who has shown that he enjoys
being on the big stage.

DeGrom could possibly pretty much kill a 107 year old dream tonight.

...I like the Cubs chances at home, even vs DeGrom, who is at least mortal away from Citi Field.

Kendricks? He throws marshmallows.
The "numbers" look bleak for the Cubs.
Kendricks is VERY hittable, and deGrom is difficult to hit.

I would be surprised if the Mets don't put a few points on the board.

You cannot get any hotter then Murphy is right now. Unbelievable.

Murphy is writing himself up a huge contract this winter. Absolutely unconscious and glad I played him tonight on DraftKings.

I want what Murphy's taking! now!:smiley-trophy:

Something tells me that the Mets will re-think this now.

DeGrom has a gopher problem tonight.

Looking like we're getting close to a Mets vs Royals World Series. Who would've thought that in April?

Couldn't help but notice that Cub pitcher that pitched the 8th inning is a member of the crooked hat club, what is this a fucking sorority? And its only pitchers.

Sloppy game from the Cubs with their season basically on line.
Shakey defense, Mets ran wild on them, and their #3 SP can't break a pane of glass with his fastball.

Looks like the jig is up. This team won 97 games?
Wish I could be "proud" of the Mets, but they're just another team to me.

Still more fun this way. I'll wait "my turn".

Yeah but we're on our way, we've already fired our hitting coach & bullpen coach.

Even in a thread about the NLCS?

Ah, what the heck, why not.

Although I have a sneaky suspicion you may have jumped off the ledge a long time ago if you were a lifelong Cubs fan....say it ain't so.
Oops, forgot, there's always the SF Giants!
Nothing wrong with an insurance policy.

th

By the way, what's all the big fuss over the Yankees firing batting and bullpen coaches?
Let's not get too deep with this stuff - we're not related to any of these coaches who have been let go the past two years, are we?

Pentland and Tuck's contracts were set to expire after the 2015 season.
Period, end of story.

I know it's hard to resist throwing eggs at Cashman's house......but it's time to go home, it's getting late.

Maybe, just maybe...possibly, perhaps, the ONE "coach" they should take a good look at is Girardi?

:deadhorse:........it just doesn't stop. :smiley-sere::tornado:

I was just responding to a mutual friend of ours.

^^^ ...ahhh, I gotcha...it makes sense now.

...fwiw, concerning the PS, like the Yanx, both the Jays and Cubs are mashers, and often times that is exposed vs top notch pitching.
...And both of those power teams have been throttled so far, not to mention that both have had problems defensively...not a good combination to say the least...Schwarber and Bryant have especially looked suspect on defense. As good as they are at bat, they are equally as bad in the field...granted they are both very young and still have room for improvement.

Mets in the WS for the 1st time since 2000. And it looks like the Royals are going to get another chance.
