Before extending Leonard, didn't Olshey have like $3M of cap space he could have used? Not sure who $3M would get us. If he doesn't match Crabbe, it would have been closer to $6M, which maybe is enough to score a FA.

If that's the case, this is an indication he's done.

I think there will be trade but not right now. ML won't be back until Dec-Jan time frame so I look at trade deadline. Von has that time to impress the coaches if not he could be part of a trade but not main piece. I believe it will be Davis or Plum it will depends on who most tradable at that time.

So if we retain Crabbe and give CJ the max, and let Harkless go we'll be sitting like 3 mil below the luxury tax, and will have to let Plumlee go for nothing.

I keep saying it.. Were gonna have to recycle Plumlee's contract in the next year for a multi-year cheap contract or a rookie. We have a logjam at center and there's no way we'll pay him.

It'd be Plumlee. Davis is better and on a cheap contract going forward. Plumlee is do to be overpaid.

Remember when the Lakers were able to just go and cherry pick the best players on other teams and just take them - Shaq, Glen Rice, etc.?

Now, their big free agent acquisition is grotesquely overplaying a 30-year old nobody who was the 10th best player on his team and couldn't even get off the bench in the playoffs in spite of being 7'1" and healthy?

I think there will be a trade.... maybe when Meyers comes back. If Meyers was healthy I could see us making a trade now, but since he's out until December (?) I think we'll hold onto Plums. With that said, I could see a decent consolidation trade in the future.

A major reason why I prefer to have a center committee rather than one max center like Whiteside. (Cousins or Drummond are exceptions) Centers seem to get hurt more than other players, at least ours have. So pay everyone else, and go with depth at center....just in case.
