Meyers has the best shot percentage of the Centers for both FG and FG3 and has a PER near 20. These facts make me believe that he should be playing the minutes to allow 10 shots with which he could contribute 15+ points.

In the 4th quarter against the TWolves, for example, Meyers might have been the answer to the Blazers having at least 24 points and the win. With the improvements he has made this year and these facts, it is time to be counting on Meyers.

I've missed you.

When he is down, he should not read S2 posts. A walk in the park would be better.

Meyers has improved. But to count on him would be silly. Granted, in a few games he's made somewhat of an impact... but not enough to count on him.

I'm going to ignore the 'stats'.
At the end of the day Nards shouldn't be receiving DNPCD.
I'm one of the biggest proponents of Nards not being in a Blazer uniform. However he's shown he deserves minutes this year.

Frankly Portland's Centers should all be playing.
The only way to do that though if the Center playing doesn't take plays off, and is dog ass tired on the court from running the floor.

Jermaine O'Neal Swish3.o!

If we trade him, we'll regret it.... or not.

it's funny to me that people find the most obscure stats to try and defend him....

Where have you been!!!

Wait, FG%, 3P%, and PER are "obscure stats"?

The good news is there's probably another GM out there that will convince himself that Meyers just needs a change of scenery, based on those stats. And maybe he does. I want to find out :)

Blazer fans have the role of encouraging players. That requires recognizing who is making the highest % of shots and earning a high PER. I see Meyers doing more than Zach or Noah and would promote using him to win games.

Zach should not be attempting 3PT that should have been shots by Meyers. The Blazers need to feed the guy who is making the highest % of attempts and use him strategically, especially in the 2nd and 4th quarters.

I am ready to see the Blazers beat the Spurs! This can be a turning point.

welcome back! honest question though...will you still be a Blazer fan if Meyers gets traded?

If by more you mean just pure shooting - that's because that's how it's supposed to be.

It's really basic.

He has now lost his spot to Collins? I think he could flourish in a Houston Rockets Uniform.

Watching Meyers wind up for a shot puts me in mind of an oil tanker doing three point turns in a harbor -- pull up a seat, pour a drink and settle in, 'cause we're gonna be here awhile.

As for Meyers "deserving" more opportunities than Collins or Vonleh. With his shit-tier defense he gives away as much as he produces and every minute he's on the court is another minute Collins isn't getting settled in and developing, especially when practice time is so limited during the long slog of the season.

Meyers had his chances for the past six years, it hasn't happened, it's never gonna happen, and it's time to move on. Best of luck to 'nards in his next career as an Instagram bicep model.

Wait, were you referring to Meyers or CJ? Tough to tell just from that part of the post. :breakdance: Beal 50, Harden 48, Crawford 16 points in 1 quarter.....all being defended for the most part by our resident SG. Either that, or it got so bad we had to hide him somewhere else. CJ can score by like Nards, he is giving up as much or more on many nights.

I just love that you post in a different font. I might need to change mine.

When one guy scores that much you blame the whole team (the coach mainly IMO), not just the player guarding him. How good are we at playing help?
How good are we at showing on screens? Are we forcing him into the direction we want but the help comes late? It's a team effort.

I know how to change them individually, but is there a way to set a default font for your posts?
