Meyers is going to really thrive in the modern NBA

When he was at the hillsboro hops game, I yelled it to him.

He had security escort me out.

(This is not a true story)

He reminds me of a Keanu, "Johnny Utah" from Point Break, kind of vibe.

I could totally see Leonard tell us "I am an F...B....I.... agent."

Lets just call him Sexy Taylor Danforth.

sent from a phone you've probably never heard of

I've shook Meyers hand down in the Gym at U of I. This was right after his rookie season. Seemed like kind of a douche, but presumably he's grown up a bit since then.
Have to disagree. Not sure about your exchange, but Meyers is a very cool, down to earth guy.

I'm sure he's a cool guy, but this is just from personal experience and from seeing him around the bars and whatnot when he was in Champaign. He was somewhat notorious for being extremely immature.

Keep in mind, this is 2-3 years ago. Just from listening to him now it seems like he's grown up a bit. I've always had a soft spot for Meyers since we went to the same school, but it was admittedly hard to keep defending him after his second season. I'm extremely glad he's managed to turn the corner, and I'm probably his biggest supporter now.

Over heard him on media day says he doesn't think he deserves it. Seemed like it embarrassed him a little

Well he can drop it now and reclaim it in a few years once he's averaging 22/10 and leading us to the conference finals. ;)

If Portland put some motion and off the ball screens for cutters around Leonard on the high post, we might see some terrific basketball. But I don't think we will see it. The three point
shot takes less commitment, and togetherness. My oh my, what Jack Ramsay would do with Mr. Leonard!

So you are mad at the entire league, then, since the 3pt shot has risen across the board.

I have to agree with you on this. We need some versatility in this offense. Keep an offense that does well shooting 3's, but for crying out loud hit a few more cutters. We have an abundance of targets this year who can finish in traffic.

Can't compare him to either if you ask me. Limber was a banger who happened to step out and have a nice J. Sabonis had a sick post game and MAD court vision. Meyers reminds me more of a Dirk. He doesn't have that stepback J from the post, but he does have that soft Euro vibe going on.
Legend isn't soft

Meyers is a weird mix of Tom Chambers and Ryan Anderson...

Dammit there I go comparing white players to other white players...

Fuck it, less crazy Sheed!

mad at the entire league

Naw, we leave mad to the dogs. But it does seem the beauty of the game has been swapped for chuckers. Not because we have better shooter now, more likely it is just easier.

That's true. Evolution happens. Had to evolve to get to where you liked it at one point, it's only inevitable.

where you liked it at one point

I still would.

Oh! You can still see it run occasionally, the latest I can think of is GS with Bogut on the
high post and the other lads scurrying about. They do it quite well too.

Wes would.
Nic would....if you were Spanish.

hmm I have seen them both take hard fouls...but give them? Man, Nic floated so often, I just dont remember seeing him do so. Now Wes may have, but I have no recollection.
