I still would.
I'm just saying, the games evolved. Happens in every sport.

Wes would.
Nic would....if you were Spanish.
I bet he likes it better than Leonar_ though. And just for the record.....he HATES the Legend nickname.
More like Mehmet Okur imo
Mo Williams against Bogut in OaklandHave to agree with you there..in fact I was impressed that both ML and CJ gave hard fouls. When is the last time someone not names Joel Priz gave a hard foul on this roster
Pre arthritis sabonis if he adds a post game. Hes got the shooting and great court vision. The legend has just begun. This season will be legendary.
I remember Babbitts Nevada mixtape lolThats a good comparison. Okur was a quality starter so if Meyers can become that valuable he should have a good role. Sam Perkins is another one.
Dirk comparisons are ridiculous. He was a transcendent player. Reminds me of fans comparing a young Luke Babbitt to Bird.

This might be my favorite Blazer "foul" of the last decade. Best thing about it was it wasn't even called a foul.
He's certainly nothing like Laimbeer on the defensive end, or in terms of attitude. But I was thinking more offensively. I don't remember him having much of a post up game. He took mostly face up jump shots (and had a nice mid range game), had good court awareness, good passer, didn't force up bad shots. Can't compare him to either if you ask me. Limber was a banger who happened to step out and have a nice J. Sabonis had a sick post game and MAD court vision. Meyers reminds me more of a Dirk. He doesn't have that stepback J from the post, but he does have that soft Euro vibe going on.

I was way more crushed when we traded Dre for Felton than any other move in recent Blazer history..I really wanted him to end his career here
....
- In 847 total minutes last season, Leonard shot 51.0 percent from the field, 42.0 percent from 3 and 93.8 percent from the line. This put him on par with some of the "50-40-90" seasons posted by a few of the game's all-time great shooters - Kevin Durant, Dirk Nowitzki, Steve Nash, Larry Bird. Meyers is in elite company.
- Defensively, Leonard was one of the best low-post defenders in the league. The NBA's SportVU data revealed that on rim protection attempts - defined as any shot with the shooter within 5 feet of the rim and 5 feet of Leonard - Leonard held opposing players to just 42.3 percent shooting. The league average is around 50/50. Leonard's opponent shooting percentage was lower than Roy Hibbert (42.6 percent), Dwight Howard (45.7), Andre Drummond (48.0) and DeAndre Jordan(48.5).
Last season, Leonard held opponents to 28.4 percent shooting from the 3-point line -- 3.5 percentage points lower than their average. On shots further out than 15 feet, opponents made 34.3 percent of their attempts, a 2.3 percentage point decrease from their average. In the 2015 playoffs against the Memphis Grizzlies' frontcourt rotation of Marc Gasol,Zach Randolph and Kosta Koufas, Leonard maintained those solid defensive numbers around the perimeter.
He can't be most improved, cause he's already legendary. #getonmylevelTo add to my initial post, I thought this article from August was pretty interesting.
I really think people are sleeping on him as an obvious MIP candidate. He has few holes in his defensive game to keep him off the floor. On the other end he's kind of a poor man's Dirk/LMA type of hybrid on offense, and we have the absolutely perfect coach in the league to manage that kind of player.

Absolutely. He's out best shooter, and most games he's shooting 6 shots. It's preseason! It's the perfect time to push at the edges of your game. I want Plumlee to rebound more. You want him taking MORE!!!?? The only thing I want him doing more is rebound!
Granted I haven't watched any games, but I've watched all the highlights and checked the box scores and it doesn't appear that we've utilized the most fundamental of plays. Stotts seems asleep at the wheel.
Caught a few nice P&Rs with CJ/Dame and Plums over the past two games. It's coming.Absolutely. He's out best shooter, and most games he's shooting 6 shots. It's preseason! It's the perfect time to push at the edges of your game. I want Plumlee to rebound more.
I also wanted to see some semblance of P/R play with Dame, Plumlee, CJ, and Davis. Granted I haven't watched any games, but I've watched all the highlights and checked the box scores and it doesn't appear that we've utilized the most fundamental of plays. Stotts seems asleep at the wheel.
Meyers just isn't a pick n roll player. Not in his game. spreading the court hitting 3s is. Wish he had a back to the basket game and a nose for the ball though.Absolutely. Did I say I wanted to see the P/R with Meyers? Learn to read then post!Meyers just isn't a pick n roll player. Not in his game. spreading the court hitting 3s is. Wish he had a back to the basket game and a nose for the ball though.

It was a qualified statement. Hopefully that's not truly above your reading level and you just want to be a jerky nitpick. At least yuyuza indicated that it's happened a little bit.How you gonna say you haven't watched the games, then say they haven't been running the plays you want?
This statement is so inherently backwards.

This!...., and Dame/CJ aren't particularly great at passing to the roll man either, most times rather force up a shot at the run.
This!
Plums and Davis roll to the hoop every time, but our guards have trouble getting them the ball. Dame at least has a bit of experience with this when Hickson was on the roster, while CJ has had essentially none. These dudes need to learn not only how to make a pocket pass to the roller, but also close range lob passes.
