The Wolves game was a painful loss, but followed so much negative posting here that was demoralizing.

As the radio commentators said in the 5th quarter show, Meyers did not have much chance to help, with less than 12 min played and taking only 4 shots. The 3rd quarter deficit of only 4 Blazer versus 15 Wolves rebounds and allowing 37 Wolves points indicate the lack of effective Center play where Meyers can be stronger than Aminu, who is just not a Center.

For the final games in the series, the Blazers should play Meyers for at least 20 min, relying on his best performance with screens, pick and run to the basket, assists, swish3s, rebounds, and blocked shots that he has achieved in his best games. Remember that he shot more than 75% of swish3s in the MEM series, defended Cousins and others effectively, and can be a great team player when optimal. Meyers should be taking at least 8 shots per game, getting 4 assists, 4 blocks, and 6 rebounds.

However, this forum has been a confidence eroding force that may be hurting the Blazer cause. The negative judgmental statements certainly don't help. Instead, we should contribute to confidence building.

To make the playoffs and see what the team with Nurkic can do in the playoffs, we need to encourage the Blazers and remember that the game demands player confidence. The radio interview with Meyers seemed to indicate that he feels bad and needs moral support. Let's recognize that our chance is with Meyers at his best, and give him some words of encouragement.

If we don't look for the ways to optimize the play of Meyers as the Blazer center, missing the playoffs becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. We need for Meyers to be the Blazer Center now.

Caller: Hey, we'll be nice to you Meyers, on Rip City Two! You should come read it!

Meyers: The fuck is that?

"Sorry - I only block shots on Twitter, I just don't rebound well from criticism, or, at all really." - Meyley Biebtard.

look, if this guy is the solution, then the question is how fucked are we....

Q - How fucked are we?
A - We're Meyers Leonard, fucked.

That is a bad bad bad bad +many more bads, place to be.

He only gets more time if Stotts plans it. MyLe did look awkward; kind of like a telephone pole. Personally, I think he should not be counted on as a three point shooter as primary option. I saw absence of penetration and rebounding on his part. Your view of this forum's attitude is a personal opinion. It's OK. However, what we see in comparison to Nurks' resume clearly defines a huge difference between a 13-3 team and what was displayed last night.

We've just got to get out of this contract man. It's depressing.

Meyers is our Center now
Yes I know, no need to fucking rub it in.

Meyers did not have much chance to help, with less than 12 min played and taking only 4 shots.

And why the fuck do you think, despite being the only center on the roster, he only played 12 minutes ? Well let me tell you
Because he's shit. He. Is. Shit
He doesn't belong in the league. He's awful. He can't do anything well. He is inexistant on defense, he hurts us on offence.
HE. SUCKS. Period

God I'm sick and tired of delusional posters talking about all the upsides of the great Meyers Leonard

In his 12 mins he was already 0-4, had 3 pf and -10. I think even these 12 mins were too much.

It's even worse. Those 4 shots were the most WIDE-OPEN shots you will ever see in an NBA game. Nothing! Portland has no other big outside of Vonleh and yet MyLe can't get more than 11 minutes? What a joke!

If you aren't going to reference swish3s at least 4 or 5 times per post, we are going to have a problem here.

I'm guessing that not many of the people flaming Meyers here have ever tried to play basketball with two herniated discs in your back. While I think it's pretty well established that Meyers has significant limitations as an NBA center, the dude should at least get some props for trying to do what he can given that the team has no other big man options. The hate expressed towards him is pretty damned sickening.

Well he is getting 10 million props for trying so hard and these are not going away. Can he please go away?

Meyers is not good. Plain and simple. He's garbage so he doesn't deserve to play and I trust our coaching staff to know that. They watch him everyday not just in games

He's 7 feet tall. He should just retire. His body can't take him playing any more than the fans can.

If he's falling apart this bad shooting threes all the time, what would happen if he played like a real center?

Seriously though, my knees crack like Rice Krispies every step I take down a flight of stairs. I go to work every day in pain, if I didn't have to I wouldn't.

Again, he's already got his size going against him as far as living a long healthy life. He suckered the team into paying him millions. Take the money and scram. And take Pat C to the nearest baseball tryout while you're at it Meyers.

I was on vacation for a week and didn't see this. Back injuries are serious and I take back my diatribe on his performance last night. That doesn't excuse his entire 5-year career but in this case, if he has 2 herniated discs, he shouldn't even be out there at all.

That game serves for me as confirmation that Meyers is playing injured. There is no other explanation for the only 7-footer left on the team to only play 11 minutes. If he were physically able to set screens and bang for rebounds, he'd have played more. Meyers hasn't lived up to expectations, but a healthy Meyers isn't THAT bad.

Boy, talk about a depressing state of affairs. Meyers is the center??

If he really is hurt, then I give him credit for being a trooper (I guess?), but on the other hand Neil really didn't take care of business providing enough depth for this roster. Once it was clear Festus wasn't going to play much earlier in the year, it seems like he could have at least found a guy in the D-League for emergency depth, no?

I would use ML my center I really would. I would place his ass right in the center of the bench. Yes he is hurt but I properly could count on one hand that he actually had a good game in last 5 years.

People giving Nards an excuse for his play, because he's injured really triggers me.

They really need to use one of those three picks to draft a back up to Nurk.

Even though most of us tankers gave up on that, maybe Neil never really did?
