Meyers Leonard as a stretch 4

I agree completely. Even though Meyers may in fact amount to ziltch, there is no reason to give up on him this early. The Blazers knew he was a project when they drafted him. Thank god Blazers management is more level-headed than the posters on this board. S2 would have fired the coach three weeks ago, and would trade every single player after their third bad game.

I have always been a Leonard supporter. Always agreed with those who defended him as a "project who has a lot to learn......C's take the longest to develop.....he needs a few years....etc". I was fully supportive of him and really liked his play in a few games this year, he seamed like he was starting to get it. I still thought he may develop and be a boarderline all-star with his athletisism and size. A real force in the leage at C.

However, that flagrant foul that got him kicked was the last straw. Yeah, he still very raw, but if you make such a rediculous flagrant foul on a guy a FOOT shorter than you, that just shows me you just dont get it and prob never will.

Portland owns his contract through the end of next season. He's a young, athletic, strong seven footer with no brains. If you trade him you're most likely going to get just as much of a gamble player in return.

Guys like him (Thabeet, Kandi, Kwame) kick around in the league for a while because you never know when one might emerge into a decent role player. I'm happy having him as our third string center (behind Robinson). I'll be happier when Freeland is back and he's fourth string.

Bring in joel przybilla to coach leonard. Teach him to rebound and set hard picks. Give him some attitude.
