6-8 months? wow..... for a surgery to fix dislocations? Again.. .wow...
Actually much better now I thinkWhat are the chances he takes the QO to be an UFA the year after?

I would suspect it has a tear and they need to remove bone spurs or debris from the joint. Seems to me a tear would require that long if repaired..something is causing it to dislocate easily..probably need to rehab the muscle around the shoulder to support the repair..most of the time would be rehab for strengthening I'd thinkThat was my reaction. Seems excessive for a dislocation.
In my opinion if his price drops considerably, he does win because he stays a Blazer at least for a while longer. Give him a chance to build his value again. He wouldn't lose much to sign a one year qualifying offer here,,(riverman gets booed out of the forum in one...two..three...)He bet on himself once; didn't win.
Double down?
Me tooI think it's a lock that he takes the QO.
Unless Neil offers him the same contract that Meyers turned down last summer.
That's a normal time for a labrum tear.6-8 months? wow..... for a surgery to fix dislocations? Again.. .wow...

Depends on how deep the tear was...surface tears heal quickerIs the recovery time for Meyers a minimum of 6-8 months or is there a chance of it being 10-12? I've known athletes in other sports who has similar surgeries and 6-8 seems pretty fast.

Either way its enough to have a significant impact on his next season. It's not as if he's an experienced proven vet who is fully developed. He needs extensive work on his game and he won't get any of that for at least half a year.
Meyers has never been the same player for a whole career so farYeah. It's a significant injury. I've known baseball players who get torn pectorals and are never the same players.
