The question is, does Portland make an offer to him this summer or let him go? I would let him go honestly
He's gonna come back for the playoffs and win us a series.Man he looks heartbroken on TV just now (during the clipper game)
I wouldn't just let an asset go for nothing, unless a team gave him some crazy contract. You could always trade him later (ala Tobias Harris)

"OB sits in his corner as a single tear drops from his cheek and provides a single future stain mark on Leonard's Jersey....."
I have a Jersey for sale... anyone interested? I will not ask for max, but I will take the league min....
Shoulda bought a #3.
You want CJ to be injured?!Shoulda bought a #3.
His qualifying offer is only ~$4 million so I think we give him that. With Plumlee and Davis it basically slots Meyers as our third string center. .... If a team overpays him let him walk. If teams have little interest in him and his contract is cheap I guess we could consider bringing him back.

you never know Orion...that Leonard jersey may be the reason we're a playoff team this season...I wouldn't give up on it yet"OB sits in his corner as a single tear drops from his cheek and provides a single future stain mark on Leonard's Jersey....."

Meyers: Everyone knows you can hit a three. If you want to be somebody in the league, get that big payday and take care of your beautiful wife, it's time to develop a post game. A couple of go to scoring moves around the basket needs to be your primary focus this summer.
I'd also recommend looking up an ex player named Bill Laimbeer. See if he'll work with you for a couple of weeks. There's a lot you can learn from him.
See you next season.

True.Channing Frye has made a lot of money ignoring this advice... much to my chagrin.
I totally agree with you, but does Stotts? I have to think that if Stotts wanted that option in his offense he'd have had Meyers working on it. Just another detail that dims my opinion of Stotts.I'm not suggesting Meyers play exclusively under the basket, just that he needs to work on a back to the basket move, a drop step move, and a half-hook to round out his game.
