So, how do you like this for a Miami fan's pipe dream of acquiring Dame to pair with Butler:

Trail Blazers Receive: Tyler Herro, Duncan Robinson, Kendrick Nunn, Andre Iguodala, Kelly Olynyk, 2022 1st Round Pick, 2024 1st Round Pick, 2025 1st Round Pick Swap, 2026 1st Round Pick

I'd say that the Blazers have better pieces to offer the Heat for Butler's services than the other way around.

Yeah, I had the same thought, but it couldn't happen until after the season because our roster is already stacked with players.

yeah, it's a terrible trade for Dame

but it would be a great trade for CJ because the Blazers would be getting 4 decent players that would be great fits on the Blazer roster....Robinson, Herro, Nunn, Olynyk, plus some extra 1st's

Any way you look at this the title of the thread should be "miami nightmare" (unless the idea was to post a dream scenario for another team which wouldn't make too much sense in a Blazers forum) because that original idea was absolutely terrible. More than Olshey would be laughing at Riley for that Lillard “deal?” If we’re just spitballing, in my dream scenario the Blazers get the best of the trade and don’t trade Lillard for one promising PG and a bunch of garbage.

The title was simply a shot at the guy who proposed the trade. Anyone who knows anything about Dame and about what Olshey has done to beef up the roster to make it competitive, would realize that it’s nothing but pure dreaming on that guy’s part to think that deal could happen. I started the thread because I thought it was humorous and I thought some people around here would get a chuckle out of it. The thread police crack me up. I would never put that in the trade ideas thread because I think the whole idea is moronic.

Oh my, it seems I need to read your entire posts. I just read the bold parts and thought it was your idea. Holy shit I'm an idiot sometimes. I was like, "I can't believe anyone especially @e_blazer would want this trade for us." Yikes, I don't mind the thread at all now that I'm paying attention because it's not an idea from anyone in here so it doesn't really belong in Trade Ideas. Yea well if it was a CJ trade that would be different. The only player I care for out of that group is Herro.
