He's been great on the Knicks. I went to 4 Knicks games last year and he was pretty great. Back then, I was saying he'd be great on the Blazers. We need a third guy who can go off for 30 points some nights. Beasley can do that. He can go off. I agree. I just looked up his stats from last season to confirm my memory. All his 30+ point games were very efficient. He's a good player and if he doesn't mind doing his thing for $3 million, I'm in. That is exactly the kind of guy Neil needs to find. Our best season in the last ten years, for my money, including playoffs, was the year we had Mo Williams. He was a reliable scorer off the bench and it made a big difference. Outlaw was good off bench but a complete dud in playoffs. Mo Williams won Game 4 for us vs Rockets.

It’s not really the money. It’s the role. Beasley is a PF. So where does that leave Collins/Davis?

This is the problem with making any move not involving CJ... doesn’t matter how talented the player is, they will not produce without consistent touches with CJ over dribbling and driving 1 on 3

We've gone 3 years without a SF. I'd like to have both Davis and Beasley.

• and most importantly, has demonstrated all of these abilities already, yet somehow is willing to take vet min.

Basically, LeBron James with a little more panache.

I'm not advocating replacing Ed at all. I just want him to have an aggressive front court mate. If we sign Beasley for the min we can still retain Davis.

Look at all the players that olshey has brought in or look at they all have something in common they all knows how to score the ball. Now Beasley if they sign him that will be the end of Davis tenure as a Blazer. They will move Zach backing up Nurk and Beasley backing up aminu.

That would be so stupid. Ed is the anti-Beasley in that he makes the game easier for everyone else on his team and harder for the other team.
