Considering some of the other things Bachmann has told conservative radio hosts over the years, this latest proposal did not seem so far-fetched. DailyKos wrote up the story last Thursday, followed by Crooks and Liars and ThinkProgress on Sunday.

While the latter two have issued corrections, with ThinkProgress striking out its entire story and apologizing for the error, the story remains uncorrected on DailyKos five days later.

DailyKos is the Rush Limbaugh of the left wing.

I see where you are coming from and this is a big problem in the hispanic community where it is common in the culture for a younger girl under the age of 18 to have a older boyfriend and both families consent to it.

But I don't think you want a policy that as long as parent don't object it is OK for the child to be participating in something that is unlawful. And regardless of parents desires, the state will prosecute most of the time.
