What good does it do for Trump to lie about this? I get he needs to protect his ego, but a few months down the road when Iran has nukes and is firing them at Israel and US targets, what then? Oops?

I don't personally care about Israel (for any personal reasons). The guy running Israel is screwing that country and their neighbors for personal gain.

That much is incredibly clear.

It's well known that the people want him gone. This is how he can stay in power. He can allow (and even encourage) attacks against his own people in the hopes that human nature will cause them to rally around him out of fear and anger.

I consider this a very pro-Israel position.

Just like my absolute disdain of Donald Trump is an incredibly pro-American position.

We are all smart enough to take their opinions with a huge grain of salt. If anything that’s all it is. We are all mostly educated and affluent and have learned to listen to all viewpoints. There’s not a single person here blindly buying what Bannon and co. are selling.

I have no problem with the Israeli people. And if Gal Gadot is ever looking for a dog, I would lick those feet.

I do have a problem with your government. I think what they are doing to Gaza, the Palestinians, is cruel, and the attack on Iran was dumb and not well planned.

While I do not agree with you, I do appreciate and respect your opinion. You have brought a much-needed perspective to this conversation and have done it without being argumentative and/or insulting.

I agree all current leaders (Bibi, Trump, Kahmenay) are all the wrong people to be in position.
However I am referring to how trendy it is today to just promote extreme views and hate across different views.
I just saw a meme about how people will be happy if Florida is removed from US map, and comments replying this should be California... Etc..
The point is - all social media memes, comments that lead to reinforcing of certain narrative just lead to people being entranched in certain core beliefs.. and once those set it - the people are at a point of almost no return.
The US today is probably as divided as it has ever been IMO - and that saddens me..
However - we live in a world it so difficult to gather people under same goals.. so I an left with the question of what glues/binds people together these days?
The hate/frustration/fear towards opposing views?
The love/happiness/shared values and views that are in place despite those?

As someone in my early forties, I am a bit nostalgic to times of dial up modem and group gathering to discuss politics.. than twitter/truth/x/tik tok platforms that took echo chambers to whole new levels..

One of the biggest problems in the US has been right wing talk radio. Trump's base didn't come from the internet. They were radicalized (or at least primed) largely by Rush Limbaugh and the like.

*Edit* The internet didn't prevent the US from having a quality free education system through college or quality universal health care.

These problems are deeper than echo chambers on the internet.

Good idea. You support trump, theres no good conversations to have with trump supporters since they dont care about humans.
