Couldn't agree with this more!

Portland Trail Blazers
Grade: B

This team pulled off some heavy magic in the first half. They managed to convince the Portland faithful that they would perform at a playoff-level despite the huge number of close games that they won early. Analysts suggested this would not hold. It hasn't. The team has slid back, but really, you can't do anything but tip your hat to Terry Stotts and the four good players that they have on roster relative to minutes distribution (I'll let you figure out who). Damian Lillard is a phenom, and the future's bright. Now it's time to settle back to where their roster and results indicate they're headed.

Curious how the guys on here that are super pissed we have been losing games recently think about this.

How many ppl are truly pissed?

We all knew this was going to be a year of transition: new gm, coach, players, and mentality. We also knew there were going to be some rough patches in the beginning.

Read a Game Thread lately?

I'm just disappointed how shitty the team has looked in some of the losses, not disappointed in losing. I want to see improvement - that's what this season is about. And this stretch..... at times, I think we're regressed.

No. That's why I asked you.

Half this place is freaking out when we lose. They actually think we are supposed to be a good team. A lot don't have realistic expectations of this team.

And yet people want to trade our only 4 1/2 for unproven talent

What are you talking about? Nobody has advocated blowing up the starting unit and starting with a totally blank slate ... but unless a team is set for deep playoff runs, there's nobody that should be considered untouchable in the name of getting better.

How is trading 1 starter blowing up the the starting unit and starting over?

JJ aside, taking a proven core player and replacing them with a rookie, or picks, breaks apart the "unit". A great GM, which I happend to believe Oshley is, will add assets without having to give up our best ones. Then once enough are accumulated, you make a trade.

I would love to play wargames or chess with some of you people.

Yahoo chess is free! I'm going to post an OT thread about this subject.

Cool I haven't played since I moved from Oregon, but it shouldn't take me long to get up to speed again. The pointy one moves diagonally, right?
